Crickets from Beek, and Cronin mentioned not seeing something the same way as management in his most recent postgame video.

would be pretty weird to dump him if we aren’t hiring something like a Gallant.

In the Avs game today they mentioned Bednard was almost fired after his first season but wasn’t and has since then went on to 7 straight playoff appearances!

Since this is the Zegras thread, why not make him captain? If there is one guy that talks it's him, The Enemy of Silence.

I agree! Has Getzalf for a perfect mentor as how to talk to refs! I like the idea!

  3. Last 6 years or so have been tough for us diehards! And there’s no end in sight! That makes it even tougher! Play has been horrendous! There has been no glimpse of any turn around and it’s not even close!  We talk about this and that but our roster is so use to losing! There’s no urgency out there to turn it around! Zeroooooooo! Nada

Problem with Cronin is he keeps coming out with the same comment after every game. "I dont know what the problem is". Seriously you are the head coach that is your job. Us fans know what the problem is, lazy play, undisciplined penalties, lack of offense or shots, not taking shots from high danger areas to pass the puck out of these areas to low danger spots, and this man defense does not work. What does Cronin do, keeps pushing man defense even though they cant play it and it tires them out. Then says he doesnt know what the problems are. Sorry if it is so obvious to the fans and you have no clue, then get someone who has a clue.

Is he still saying this? He said this after we started our first losing streak early in the year and it made me cringe. Makes me think he is just lost and doesn’t know how to adapt/adjust

I believe this 100%. The same exact thing happened to me about 4 months ago. Pass a little out of reach, stretched for it, and there it went. Lower back just tensed up. Not sure if a spasm like they say here, but I assume it is ‘throwing your back out’. I couldn’t even barely skate back to the bench, could barely breath, didn’t play for almost two month. It sucks. So what they described, if it is anything like I dealt with, it is not fun. Although I have 15+ years on McT.

I know the feeling! I started roller 6 years ago and it’s locked up on me with this freezing pain 3 times in that span! All 3 times it was after being bent over for a face off and then extending back up! First time I couldn’t even get on my knees to crawl. It was bad!

  6. Defense is just bad when you don’t hit and can’t seperate others from the puck! You are chasing the whole time in your zone playing man on man! Or we also don’t protect our blue line at all and we just let teams in and then the chasing starts! Maybe if we stood up in the neutral zone we would avoid the prolonged pin ins.

    I don’t know 🤷

also see our defense have no opponent around them and boom we still fumble and turn over so many times

Injuries are really bad this year. And it's happening to a lot of our top guys. I was watching one of the games, can't remember which team, and the commentators said they were bad because of injuries. I was like do they know that we're also injured? Probably even more than the other team so they had a really bad excuse why they were losing. Anyway, yeah it's been pretty brutal with injuries. Let's hope next year will be better. And hopefully Killorn doesn't have lasting effects from this surgery. He is only in the first year of his contract after all.

First thing that came up for me was that contract! And knees are tough to recover from especially with an aging player

  8. Leo is amazing! The kid is special! Legs were moving yesterday and puck handling and control were on point! Created some dangerous looks with his smartness and creativity! And it’s only the beginning

Zegras out 6-8 weeks with a broken ankle. Getting surgery.

Mintyukov out 6 weeks with a seperated shoulder.

Obviously you can shift around some guys but on paper

    Gauthier - Carlsson - Terry

    Zegras - McTavish - Killorn

    Vatrano - (player)/Lundy - Strome

    McGinn - Lundestrom - Jones

As Soon as April of this year.  Then you add a Celebrini/Lindstrom type guy at the draft? This is probably cope, but if the team can stay healthy next year, I could see them taking another legit step

Rumor Zegras is not safe from being traded! Just a rumor but I can totally see Z not fitting in Verbeeks plan! Too soft and slow
