  1. Listing Eichel as missing is just plain stupid. I don't know, the last time I paid any attention, I didn't recall anyone having the Ducks team on par with Vegas. You may be a Vegas fan, but as far as the Ducks are concerned, I wouldn't discount the importance of Fowler or Zegras to the team. They're not in as esteemed company as Pacioretty and Stone, but they're valuable to the Ducks. I don't get putting the Ducks on par with Vegas to begin with. The season so far has been a pleasant surprise, and yes there's going to be hiccups along the way. I don't understand the need to ridicule. Vegas was, and is, a deeper club than the Ducks.
  2. We're missing 'ONE guy." No: Zegras Fowler Comtois Henrique Jones 🙄
  3. The year the Ducks won the Cup, they played Philly at home. Philly was atrocious that season. Ducks lost something like 7-2. Teams are always going to play stinker games. We can only hope it's a one off and not the start of a losing streak.
  4. Rumors floating around Jakob Chychrun (Az) LHD is available for trade. Has 3 years left at a cap hit of 4.6M. Ask is high, but I could see a package starting with our 1st and Comtois. At 23 he fits right in with our rebuild.
  5. Ducks sent McTavish down to specifically work on the C position. If he plays for the big club next season, I would substitute him for Grouix. I don't see him playing wing upon a recall. If Getzlaf retires, then obviously that changes things.
  6. Had season seats in the lower bowl until we tried one season in the 300 level. Haven't gone back down to the 200 level ever since. I think the 300 level has great site lines. Other than the box office, I think "714tickets" is the way to go. I know they're right across the street from the Honda Center. Or check some of the Ducks sites on FB. There's usually season ticket holders posting tickets for sale.
  7. Various sites are now listing their top 10 candidates to be traded at the deadline. The lists I saw not one Duck was mentioned.
  8. "The Michigan." Only a matter of time. 🤞
  9. First bold = what's the rush? Deadline is March 21. Second bold = Then let Fowler mentor him. They moved Drysdale in with Lindholm in late November (not during the preseason). There's no hockey for a month because of the Olympics, and if Lindholm gets traded, Drysdale is out sometime mid/ late March. That's stupid. Makes no sense. Anyway, that's my take. If Lindholm is traded then Murray and Solomon are the new stars of a Dumb and Dumber sequel.
  10. Why would the Ducks have Drysdale move in with Lindholm and mentor him if there's a possibility he's leaving? Let him live with Fowler then. It makes no sense. So the speculation is at the trade deadline Drysdale is living alone and needing to move because Lindholm is now gone. Even worse conundrum is if the Ducks are still in the playoff hunt. "Thanks for the effort team, we're still trading Lindholm (Rakell and Manson for that matter)." I could see the team moving on from Manson at the deadline, but if by some miracle we're still in the hunt I think Rakell stays too. I admit I may be wrong, but moving Drysdale in with Lindholm seems to me a no brainer he's staying. If not, then Solomon is a bigger idiot than Murray.
  11. He's no longer on the roster. The Ducks evidently sent him back to the Gulls
  12. Your first bolded comment is the reason he should stay. Him mentoring Drysdale only adds to his importance. There is nobody in the system that can step in and replace him. Nobody. Going the UFA route to replace him will do nothing for the club. You're going to have to pay a premium and give max term for a player that's not as good as Lindholm. Keep him and watch Drysdale flourish.
  13. The Ducks did burn a year off of his ELC last year. We absolutely sucked, and the club could have easily restricted him to 9 games (same with Drysdale) which means he would have another 2 years making under 1M. By burning that 3rd year, he's gonna get big money one year earlier. Tit for tat imo. He's not gonna care one bit about reaching UFA status one year later.
  14. My thoughts exactly. Makes zero sense to have Lindholm move Drysdale in, mentor him, then trade him at the deadline. I'm not seeing it (not to mention they're also D partners).
  15. Watching Fowler completely shut down Ovechkin I just don't get the Fowler hate.
  16. Who would you keep and who would you let go? I think it's imperative we resign Lindholm. He's the perfect mentor for Drysdale. Losing him would set this team back imo. Interesting stat last night vs Washington. Ovechkin leads the NHL in shot attempts. Last night he had ONE shot all night (admit team taking zero penalties helped with that) being guarded by Fowler. I can see trading Manson at the deadline, but I like their pairing. I'm on the fence with Rakell. He started strong, but another injury has sidelined him, and the team is rolling without him.
  17. Sad to see the Honda Center basically empty on a Sunday night with a team riding a 6 game win streak. Per game notes there were 11,892 fans in attendance. I was there. No way were that many people there. I'll see what the Washington game looks like.
  18. The Ducks have always been tight lipped about trade proposals. In the very beginning Murray said the ONLY two untouchables were Drysdale and Zegras. He said everybody else was on the table. Murray also knew the Eichel/Buffalo impasse had to do with the type of surgery each party wanted performed. I may be naive, I admit it, but I think the story Murray was out if Eichel didn't have surgery first with Buffalo is just that, a story. It keeps the media at bay and Murray then wouldn't be expected/asked to name potential trade candidates. Now with Murray gone, that info has been buried imo, unless Kevin Adams says something. It just doesn't make sense to insist Eichel have surgery first, UNLESS Murray relented and made Zegras available, but only under the condition Eichel was able to skate at 100%. We may never know.
  19. From what I just read, the NHL has recently installed an anonymous hotline # to call to report questionable or inappropriate behavior. They didn't define "recently" but it wouldn't surprise me if this was initiated in response to the Chicago situation. The hotline # received a call regarding Murray, and an investigation was initiated.
  20. At the last trade deadline, there was only ONE trade made with players that had term on their contracts (Lindholm/Rakell/Manson all had one more year). Any team trading for them would have had to protect them in the expansion draft. We could have traded them before the start of the season, but all three were coming off a mediocre season. Could their value been any lower? I'm hoping we resign Lindholm (who is going to mentor Drysdale with him gone?) and Rakell. Any improvement from Manson (or the other two) will only increase their value at the deadline.
  21. I'm still in the Eichel camp. I would offer up Comtois, Steel/Jones, Larsson/Mahura, and a conditional 2022 1st. Maybe sub Lundestrom for Steel/Jones. Throw in the Kesler contract.
