    The fact that the three top prospects are not in camp makes me think there is a piddleing contest going on between the players and Verbeek. If Zegras wants more than 3M a year as an RFA he better be willing to sign an 8 yr contract without a no trade clause. Zegras is a great offensive player but he needs to learn to play both ends of the ice. Same goes for Drysdale. I am not up to speed on McTavish. Why is he not at camp?

    POO DOO! LOL. It would have been interesting if the Ducks could have acquired him but it sounds like he only wanted to go to the Wings. Sigh..

    Any chance Verbeek will go after Debrincat? I'd be happy to land him but I think the Ducks need one more SOLID D man. Especially if Gibson is looking to leave, Get a decent defense in front of him and convince him to stay.

    I could see Verbeek keeping Silfverberg to help Mentor Carlson. Before Carlson pick my thinking was both Silf and Henrique will go at the trade deadline for picks. Now I think Silf's mentorship is worth more than a 5th or 6th round pick.

    WHY would Verbeek let it get to that point? It's going to be a worse version of Justin Penner times two if they both get offers. You don't think a team like Chicago wouldn't try to land Zegras to play with Beddard? Seems foolhardy to me.

    Ducks still have 28 million in cap space. Wonder what else GMPV is going to do. Also on Cap Friendly zegras, Terry and Drysdale are listed as RFA's. Drydale cannot be offered an offer sheet, but what about Zegras and Terry? Are they exposed to offer sheets? I still don't understand all that.

    Per Cap Friendly Drysdale does not qualify for RFA status 2 and not eligible to receive an offer sheet. Not Sure how it all works

    Wow, When I said that Tampa had not re-signed Killorn a couple hours ago I asked if the ducks would consider him or if it was a good idea. Had no idea it would actually happen.

    So Fantilli WANTED to go to Columbus. So they gave Fantilli a prompt: Who do you want to be drafted by? “This might be a little unorthodox but the team I would want to go to is the Columbus Blue Jackets,” Fantilli told the NHL crew. “I think it would be a great spot — got a lot of Michigan alumni there, a lot of great guys to learn from. So I'm thinking he made it VERY clear to Verbeek he did not want to sign with Anaheim.

    I think it was more : "Thank you guys for going to the two worst teams in the league" so he could go to Columbus and play with Johnny Hockey, Patrik Laine and Boone Jenner. In his draft interview he was all smiles. Much more animated than over the weekend when asked how he felt about the Ducks.

    At least the Ducks didn't pick Michkov. Ducks need players now not 4 seasons from now.

    Any Another Thing.. SCREW Chicago. I was trying to listen to the draft on NHL radio and they interview Bedard right as the Ducks are making their selection. The Commentators talk right over Verbeek and you could not hear who he chose.

    All that media hype convinced Verbeek that he should skip on fantilli. Fell right into Columbus' hands. WTF!!

    I thought that when I saw Fantilli interviews on a mock draft and he was asked what he thought about the Ducks and you could SEE he wasn't happy to go to the Ducks. Still. I'm piddleed Verbeek didn't pick him.
