Jasoaks
Maybe we end up with a different thread for each round...but we can start here! What's everyone's prediction??? Any round 1 series look the most interesting? Some really good ones... Tor v TB is obviously such a story.... I think the Rangers v Devils is gonna be a really exciting one too... But one I didn't even realize all the storylines for was the Wild v Stars! First...the Stars used to play in Minnesota! That's kind of a fun little side story...but also Klingberg v his old team! That's gonna be fun to watch... So, long prediction short...I think it'll end up Dallas v Rangers in the finals....with it going to the Rangers. They are just too strong up and down. Goalie, Fire power, star power, on the back end...coaching... everything. And Dallas has DeBoer who is so good at getting to the finals in his first year coaching a team lol
Jasoaks
Oh I wanted to add that I think it's funny that the only 2 teams BOS lost to multiple times in the regular season were Ottawa (not in playoffs)....annnnd....Florida....lol
Belarus
Gonna go out on a limb here with one of my wildly inaccurate predictions: WCF = Avalanche vs Stars ECF = Maple Leafs vs Panthers

Gorbachav55
I jumped on the Avs bandwagon last year and was rewarded. Here are my rooting interests (not necessarily the teams I expect to win): Edmonton - I know they're a division rival, but McDavid and Draisaitl deserve one. Florida - I don't like Tkachuk, but I do like Barkov, plus they're our expansion buddies and have never won one. New Jersey - It's fun to see a young, up-and-coming team win. Plus my offseason UFA target is Damon Severson, and I want him to get a boatload of playoff experience he can bring to the team. Carolina - Brind'Amour is a good coach, plus I like Freddie Andersen. Toronto - I know they annoy everyone, and I get it, but they've got a really fun team and I'm tired of everyone focusing on their playoff issues. Winnipeg - I feel some sympathy for the franchise and how they get dumped on all the time for being in the middle of nowhere. Colorado - I still love the way they play, even if I usually don't root for repeat winners. Seattle - They don't offend me the way Vegas does. Minnesota - Right in the middle of the pack, where they belong. New York Islanders - So boring, but inoffensive at least. Tampa Bay - I don't dislike them, but they've won enough. New York Rangers - I like Panarin, but I don't really have a desire to see Kane win another one. Without Kane, they probably move up to #6. Dallas - I've never forgiven them for the elbow to Selanne's dome in 1998 and forcing us to deal with Marty Turco for way too long. Plus they're in Dallas. Vegas - I hate this franchise. Boston - I hate this entire city and their smug fans. A meteor crashing into the earth and wiping out all life as we know it. I don´t want to hijack this thread but I´m just curious as to why? I´m not from around so I may see things in a different light but my wife and I went to Boston a couple of years ago and we loved it. Has nothing to do with the Bruins but we really enjoyed the city. To stay on topic, I don´t do predictions as to not jinx anything (as if I´m almighty but it´s dumb superstition) so I only express hope. I hope it´s not the leafs because I think giordano is a dirty POS who doesn´t deserve the Cup. I have no problem with other leafs so if they dump him they can win it for all I care. No real preference but - sorry Gorb - I wouldn´t mind the Bruins because of Hampus and the season they had (and Marchand who´s also dirty already has his name on it) or the oilers because of McDavid and Draisaitl. Those guys really deserve to have their name on The Cup.

I hope to visit one day. But the sports teams are insufferable - the Red Sox (blech), the Patriots with Belichick and Brady (double blech), the Celtics are gross as well. Their fans are entitled, smug jerks who act like they know everything about every sport (despite often having no clue); they invade other teams' stadia and hurl invectives at hometown fans, often starting fights. Boston crowds notoriously have far more than their share of racist bigots. I have no desire to see them be happy. Oh, and Brad Marchand. Come on.
Fisix
I think Edmonton sweeps the Kings, or at worst takes it within 6. I think Boston takes the cup. I sorta think Vegas chokes somewhere along the line, just not sure how. Sadly, I'm 50-50 that Toronto doesn't make it out of the 1st round again. If they do, and they don't run into Boston, then I think they might win 2 rounds. I don't think they'll get further. The Avs will get into the second round, but not sure about past that. We can post some full brackets, or maybe round by round brackets. I'll probably do round by round.
BombaysTripleDeke
Prediction: Vegas - NYI final. Vegas wins it rooting for Carolina but losing Pacioretty and Svechnikov killed their cup chances. Colorado won’t overcome injuries either imo

If LA spilts the first two games and at least Fiala comes back then I still think they take it. I think Toronto exorcises their demons and take Tampa out in 7. Lightning too gassed and Toronto over powers them

Jasoaks
crazy good game for Min/Dal!! That was the most exciting game so far... Also, I love that if Dallas breaks any franchise playoff records during this series, it's also, sort of, for Minnesota too lol (even though I know they are technically different franchises) It would be funny if like...Dallas played their longest game in franchise history....against Minnesota. But I think we all know what game currently holds that record for Dallas

Jasoaks
i do want to add...what was Otteniger doing for that OT goal?? He just like...fell? Put his glove down to the ice when Hartman is right there in the front with the puck! ....i guess seeing the replay he just really commits to the glove save before the puck even got shot...oof...i mean terrible turn over by the Stars but...oof
