  1. I obviously have not a clue about the reason, but this makes the most sense to me. They need offense, he's kicking ass in the A. Give him some games. I will not be surprised if he gets sent back to the A for more games. I also will not be surprised if he comes up and never looks back.
  2. Yeah, I can't get very concerned - if at all - over putting a highly skilled, ultra-confident kid that you drafted two years ago and who will be 20 in a month into an offensively-starved lineup. Bob doesn't call him up, he's an idiot. Bob calls him up, he's an idiot. They drafted the kid to play NHL hockey for the Ducks. This is not a negative.
  3. At this point, pretty much ANY combination of players on a line is worth a shot. But it is the HC's job to figure this part out.
  4. Comtois- Getz- Rakell Zegras - Steel - Silf Milano- Lundestrom - Terry Jones-Backes-Heinen I think that when healthy, that's their best 12, slotted in the best positions. That's A LOT of first-round picks. 7, I think.
  5. Sometimes you can put one guy in a lineup at F and 3 lines all of the sudden sync up because guys get slotted better. I'm feeling - and hoping - that Zegras could be a guy like that.
  6. I agree. But something is really off with him so far this season.
  7. I don't think he is going to be a C. At the WJC and so far in the A he has been a W exclusively - and REALLY effective in that position. Maybe he grows into the C position at some point, but it sure seems his future in the NHL is at W. Steel almost 100% is centering that line.
  8. Makes the most sense now. Retaining salary is never desirable, but if they can do it and get something back, good. Last summer was the time to deal Rico.
