  1. One of my favorite Ducks player. Right next to Andrew Cogliano. I honestly feel his scoring potential was stunted when his former teammate from the Sens slashed his wrist as he passed by the Sens bench during his first game in Ottawa after being traded to the Ducks. Silf always a great two way player. He will be missed.

  2. I truly wish Perry will win another Cup but I can't can't CAN'T hope he wins one with the Oilers. The pettiness  in me has hoped since 2015 that McJesus NEVER wins a Cup. It's childish I know.

He actually looks and sounds/carries himself as an older individual than he is. If I didn't already know, I would guess he was 25-26 from this interview. Which I think is a good sign. Some of the younger guys we have/had seemed to be joking/playing around a bit too much for a NHL players. I’m liking this trade more and more.

Between his already lengthy  injury history and the fact that he was a hold out  nearly to the end of training camp I think Drysdale put a target on his own back. With the impressive play of Minty I think it became much easier for GMPV cut Drysdale loose when offered Gauthier.

Gauthier said he didn’t want to play in Philly so they traded him. Schultz lied and the Ducks got nothing because he left them hanging and used a loophole to hit free agency sooner than expected

I remember GMBM sent Scott Neidermayer to get Schultze's ELC signed only to have it blow up in  Murray's face when Schutlze decided to renege on his stated commitment.

There are no certainties in general. I’m playing the odds that he’s not Schultzing us

You and me too. We're on the Hopium express. I just think that him signing the ELC should have been part of the trade deal. Why take chances?

Verbeek says that they’ll let Gauthier finish out his season at Boston College before circling back to get his entry-level contract signed. “I have talked to him, yes. He is super excited. He was really excited when I talked to him, so that made me very happy.”

I remember Justin Schultze doing a radio interview with Steve Carroll between periods of a game just after his college season had ended and he was expected to join the team later in the season. Schultze said all the right things about looking forward to playing for the Ducks.

    Schultze was lying.

How do we know  Guthier didn't say what ewer he needed to to get out of Philly? How do we know he will really sign an ELC with the Ducks? Waiting till next summer seems like too much time for him to change his mind.

  7. If this guy refused to play for Philly why would he play for the Ducks? seriously. if he thinks that Philly is a crappy team this doesn't make sense.

Now if it because he didn't want to play for Torts...... then it makes sense.

  8.  If Zegras won't sign more than 3 years he should shut up and sign for 3.5 million. Why would the Ducks give him 7M if he plans to jump ship in three years?

The guy needs to grow up and learn some humility. He might have great hands but he hasn't proven a damn thing yet.

    2022-23 Season GP- 81  G 23   A 42  P 65   +/- -24

    Career                  GP   180          G   49       A    90     P 139   +/- -39

Zegras needs to own the fact that his defensive play SUCKS and that why he is currently not worth more than 4M.

  9. The fact that the three top prospects are not in camp makes me think there is a piddleing contest going on between the players and Verbeek.  If Zegras wants more than 3M  a year as an RFA he better be willing to sign an 8 yr contract without a no trade clause. Zegras is a great offensive player but he needs to learn to play both ends of the ice.

    Same goes for  Drysdale.

I am not up to speed on McTavish. Why is he not at camp?

It is a gross overpayment, yes, but putting things into perspective, I am 35 years old now and, I too, would liked to have gotten paid $6.25 for something I did as a 27-year old young handsome slacker.

Geriatric jokes aside, I think we are losing Silf one way or another (buyout?) And need a solid winger to teach Z and the gang how it's done 82 games a season. Our rookie winger depth is close to 0, so...holy californian tax overpayment shenanigans it is.

I could see Verbeek keeping Silfverberg  to help Mentor Carlson. Before Carlson pick my thinking was both Silf and Henrique will go  at the trade deadline for picks. Now I think Silf's mentorship is worth more than a 5th  or 6th round pick.

Yeah, Zegras and Terry can be approached with offer sheets.

WHY would Verbeek let it get to that point?  It's going to be a worse version of Justin Penner times two if they both get offers. You don't think a team like Chicago wouldn't try to land Zegras to play with Beddard?

    Seems foolhardy to me.

Drysdale could end up being a UFA if he doesnt receive a qualifying offer by the end today

Per Cap Friendly Drysdale does not qualify for  RFA status 2 and not eligible to receive an offer sheet. Not Sure how it all works
