  1. Fair enough. But when was the last time he even did anything significant? I'm sure in the off season he'll pull off some great signing like the last one, when he signed Shattenkirk.
  2. Former Duck Sami Vaatenan was picked up on Waivers by Dallas.
  3. Well, I would hate to lose someone like Rakell or Manson and get nothing in return. But perhaps nobody wanted either of them enough to be willing to trade anyone decent.
  4. Yeah, that's what I was hoping for. That and perhaps trading someone for a decent Draft Pick or a quality prospect. Instead it looks like status quo.
  5. He's happy with the roster and current contracts, cut him some slack.
  6. Do you think BM knows there's a trade deadline in 1/2 an hour? Or is he merely happy with the roster and contracts as they stand?
  7. So he may be at the 1st Ducks Home Game with fans, just not as a Duck. Lovely sight that would be. And it's a bold presumption that he would come back next season. If Vegas wins the Cup, he may decide to sign a new deal there. Or he may simply sign with the Ducks on a 1-day deal, so he can retire as a Duck.
  8. FWIW, the way the announcers were talking last night, about how badly the Avs need a backup goalie, I would not be at all surprised if Miller was headed their way. He re=signed with the Ducks because he wanted to stay with his family. But for a couple of months, and a chance at the Cup, I imagine he would accept a trade to a team headed to the playoffs. He and Rakell seem like the most likely to be moved. I'm not sure that Getzlaf would get that much in return. He's still a good player, but he doesn't seem like someone a team would trade for, with the expectation he's going to make the difference during a playoff run. I fear that the Ducks would trade him, for little return value. If they do another Perry deal, and assume part of next year's salary, I'll really be embarrassed.
  9. Well, if you have a deal all ready to go on the trade deadline day, the last thing a team wants is an injury the night before, that is going to result in that player being out several weeks. I'm surprised you've never heard of that, because it always seems to happen right around the deadline, and often results in speculation that a trade is in the works when it does.
  10. I'm not necessarily saying he wasn't injured, but sometimes it can take a little bit longer to be fully ready to return. Aside from the differences with this season, it's pretty common for teams to hold a player out of the lineup in anticipation of a trade. Citing a injury of some sort as reason for the scratch. I don't want him to be traded nor retire and end of season, so hopefully he'll be back in 2021-22. FWIW, he's the last remaining link to the Stanley Cup team.
  11. Hopefully Getzlaf really has been injured, but will be in the lineup tonight and Sunday. Otherwise one has to wonder if they're keeping him out ahead of a trade on Monday.
  12. Here is that part of my e-mail, copy and pasted: All available seats have been placed into physically distanced “seating pods” of 2, 3 or 4 seats and each “seating pod” must be purchased in its entirety. I also did not see any sets of 6 seats.
  13. When I looked a few hours ago, there wasn't much left in the upper level for any of the games. Just a couple of sets of 4 tickets together. They only appeared to be offering in sets of 2 or 4. The initial e-mail mentioned 3-ticket pods, but I did not see any when the sales opened up. They were only selling 10% of the arena. In the upper level, they only offered the side of arena behind the penalty boxes, along with both end zones. Perhaps if they're allowed to increase capacity, they can release more tickets. Otherwise, I doubt there will be anything left once OA members have had their week.
  14. I'll likely be there too. I ended up being able to purchase seats 1 seat over from my new season seat location. I also bought tickets to 2 of the Vegas games, that I'll probably give to clients. Did you see the 1st Rule in the list of rules they provided? "No Food Or Drink Will Be Sold In The Arena." Obviously that's meant to prevent people from taking their masks off. I don't think I've ever attended an event where you couldn't purchase food or drink, so I guess Honda Center will have to make it's money off Parking & Merchandise. I'm a sucker, so if they have something specific to this season, or that references Covid, I might consider it. If it's the same ol' souvenirs, then it will be a hard pass.
  15. Winning even 1 Cup is not a requirement to be in the HOF, and he already has that. Getzlaf will be a shoe in for the HOF given his career stats and achievements.
  16. https://www.espn.com/nhl/story/_/id/31188678/vancouver-canucks-add-seven-players-covid-protocol-list
  17. The e-mail I received indicated that there will be a ticket sale next week, and OA members will get priority through a presale. I was hoping that we would get our season seat location, but sounds like you have to purchase tickets through Ticketmaster. I suppose that's the best way to do it, although I hate paying Ticketmaster their service fees. I'm probably going to try for one of the 2 Saturday games, with the Kings game my preference since I'll be through the 2 week post-2nd vaccine waiting period.
  18. If you're a Season Seat Holder, I'd say it's very likely. I'm guessing there is somewhere around 11K SSH's, and they have 5 games to split that up so everyone gets into at least 1 game.
  19. I get my 2nd shot next Friday, so my 2 weeks will be up on the 23rd. Hoping I can get tickets to one of the Kings games on 4/30 or 5/1.
  20. Thanks for posting. I wouldn't expect Teemu to get mixed up in the middle of commenting about the Ducks' operations, even if he didn't have a prior relationship with Eakins.
  21. Perhaps it's time to give Scottie another call to inquire whether he's interested in becoming a Head Coach for the Ducks. Though I'm not sure it would be fair to him to offer this train wreck for his first head coaching position.
  22. Wasn't that when he took over as Head Coach, the end of the 2018-19 Season?
  23. I'd let Rakell go, and either Manson or Lindholm, but not both. Rakell's performance the last 2-3 seasons doesn't warrant an extension. IMO.
  24. You're joking, right? He's not going to step down unless he has the prospect of a better position with another club, and that ain't going to happen. He has a nice contract, and the support of owners who really don't care anymore how well the team performs. I.E. No Pressure.
