I don't get the "Knight Monsters" name. WTH is that?
Are they a feeder team for Vegas? 🤔

Bob Murray tried to re-tool without tearing things down and failed utterly. It left Pat Verbeek with a lot of work to do to build a stable contender.
I'll throw in a little tangent here. At one point a few years ago, we were still paying Corey Perry, Ryan Kesler and Patrick Eaves, none of which who were playing any games for the Ducks. It negatively affected who we could sign until the Ducks got them off the payroll. Then came BM's experiment with Eakins. Verbeek's going to need time to undo what BM left him. Hope it doesn't take too much longer...

I'll be a contrarian here. The above view shows the double touch. Not allowed!

Nice! Somebody finally got more penalty minutes than the Ducks! 😎

You know, I think I know what the Ducks biggest problem is right now. The other team scores most of their goals early in the game. Now, the Ducks defense usually improves as the game goes on, and at about the 60:00 mark the other team stops scoring. I think the Ducks just need to play better defense EARLIER...

What a stinker this thread turned out to be. I wonder which direction it'll go in the next ten games.

Ok, lets measure the morale of the board with a prediction.
First ten games, 6-4.
Second ten games, 3-7.
What will the Ducks do over the next ten games? My prediction?..
🤑 5-5 🤑

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving...
...spending time with family and friends,
...contemplating all there is for us to be thankful for,
...and taking a day to acknowledge that, around the world, there are worse things in life than a scoreless streak or a soft goal.
I'm thankful for...LEFTOVERS!!! 🤤

...five players even...
Oops! Change that to THREE players even. The two goaltenders are listed as "0" in the +/- column. Goaltenders don't get +/- stats. Missed that one - haha! 🤡

When I looked at that stat, he was at least -5 or -6 more compared to the next player. So while there are plenty of minus players, he's the king of the hill.
Yeah, stats always changing. As of right now the bottom five negative players are -10,-8,-8,-7,-6. The team's getting increasingly "OOF -ish."

But Verbeek knows everything. What a joke of a GM.
Hey, Sask! So nice to hear from you again! I really DO miss you when the Ducks are winning games and you're nowhere to be found... 🤩

Colton White is a whopping -11 in 11 games played. OOF.
That IS rather "OOF." However...
1 - At the time of this post, there's only three players that are positive +/-, five players even, and a whopping seventeen players with a negative +/-.
2 - That's what happens when your team is 31st in the standings with a .269 win%.

Even if it's nothing more than a joke "trailer," it IS funny seeing Teemu and Brett Hull in acting roles, especially seeing Teemu absurdly getting clobbered at the end - haha!

If you are always waiting around to see what your prospects will be like in the NHL, well, then you are gonna miss out on some deals.
That's what probably gives management ulcers.
(WARNING -Incoming statistical cherry pick alert!)

Oh, I don't know. It IS kind of fun to occasionally go back and re-read the post which first opened this thread...

Considering the occasional talk on the board about how great/terrible Cam Fowler and his current defense partner is, I pose the following question:
❔ Since 2010-11, who do you think was his best defensive partner? Or his worst? ❔
I'll start... I was impressed with the short-lived partnership between Fowler and Gudbranson.

1st team in history to give up 10 goals back to back???
Kind of odd. In both of the games that the Sharks lost (10-1, 10-2), the winning team had no hat tricks.
And what's up with Colorado? Getting outscored 1-19 over the last four games?

Silf HAS been looking a little "Mac-truckish" lately, hasn't he?..

Verbeek = Worst GM in Ducks History
in Anaheim Ducks
Posted
Actually, yes I am.
Got your attention?
I am, because I understand that winning and losing run in cycles, especially when there's a salary cap. In every sports league teams are good for a while, and then they're bad for a while. But, of course, you already know this. You and many others on the board are frustrated at how long our "bad time" is. I get it. But twenty years ago or so, the Kings went through an eight-year playoff drought but eventually won two Cups. Detroit has has more good eras and bad eras than I can count. Montreal has won TWENTY-FOUR Cups but hasn't won one since '93. Heck, the Chicago Cubs took 108 years between Pennants. (Gads, I hope the Ducks don't do that...) The Ducks have and will have more ups and downs. We're down right now. We will be up again. Just like everybody else. Patience, Grasshopper --- PATIENCE...
