Watching this game got me thinking about top favorite Getzlaf moments. I’m still thinking of mine but would love to hear anyone else’s! Center ice fight against Joe Thornton to start game 6 round 1 in 2009 against the sharks is high up there for me!

I’m not sure what of my post is conspiratorial. Until Patty has done any of this, it’s just theoretical and potential and none of this could happen and none of it is guaranteed. If he’s able to get those players in trades without losing Zegras, Drysdale, McTavish, terry, our 2022 1st or 2023 1st, that would be unbelievable. It’s more likely he is interested in creating a strong foundation for the future than sacrificing the future to fill our current holes with immediate impact players to give Eakins a fair shot. It’s just an odd comment when nothing in the off season is guaranteed and what IS guaranteed for this team as it it is right now is being in the lottery.

His comments of “Dallas hasn’t been given a fair shot and he deserves that” are odd to me with the roster he currently has constructed. If he believes that, then he must have some major off-season plans because I am not sure how you can properly evaluate a coach without majorly upgrading this roster in the off season. And if that’s just lip service from Patty…that’s pretty terrible to say that and then set up Eakins to fail.

Actually, I take this back. I didn’t realize how young Levi is…it would seem redundant for us to trade for Levi when we have Dostal.

Was just thinking…if Gibson wants out…we can trade him away. Get something really good. I wonder if Florida who is in win-now mode would be up to trading Levi. Dude just won the mike richter award and the cats are stacked in net right now. Wonder what it would take to get that done…
