  1. I agree that maybe and entirely new staff/system could be what it takes but there is no question, at least in my mind, there is some serious talent for scoring ability there. He's had some nice shootout goals too.
  2. I've made mention that I've felt BM tries to change the style some of our players naturally play. Manson has felt like one of those guys to me. I'd like to keep him, but let him play with more of an edge back on the blue line. We're way too soft on defense.
  3. I've been saying just this since the season started that Murray is horrible at developing our young talent and numerous young players have excelled after leaving Anaheim. Armchair GM in me feels like he never lets young players be themselves, he tries to change them. During our Stanley Cup season we landed Chris Pronger. We landed Pronger when we had Selanne, Niedermayer and a couple of young up and coming studs in Perry and Getz. So you could understand why Prongs would sign with Anaheim. I just can't see a quality player like Eichel ever landing in Anaheim right now. Rumors are possibly NYR.
  4. It would be a lateral move if he came to Anaheim in our present state. Eichel will want to be on a cup contending team and that's not Anaheim.
  5. Who wouldn't love to have Eichel. But why on gods green earth would Eichel ever want to come to Anaheim?? If you want somebody like Eichel the Ducks would have to land another big fish too IMO. Highly unlikely.
  6. Zegras coming up is not going to change the fortunes of this team. The Ducks are a bad team. Murray needs to be canned sooner than later.
  7. hate to see him go given what we currently have on this hockey team......looking forward to the end of the Bob Murray regime.
  8. Just hate seeing the fricking Kings move up. Not surprised we moved down, pretty standard protocol for us.
  9. Well if I thought it was fixed...Detroit would have been #1. Who didn't think an orig 6 team wasn't going to be #1?
  10. Mixed feelings for me as it's the end of an era. CPears has been my favorite Duck since very early in his career. Watching him the past couple of years has been painful. It would have been nice for Pears to perhaps restructure his contract to stay here but not many players do that these days. I'm assuming he was approached with that and declined so buying him out was the right thing to do as painful as it was.
  11. I really can't complain what BM did yesterday and today. We moved a young but very mistake prone and poor defenseman, IMO, in Montour for a late first rounder and a prospect. I was so displeased with Montour all year that I'm happy with that trade. We moved Gibbons for nothing but Gibbons was another I felt was worthless so good trade. We moved Del Zotto who has been very meh for meh in return. Meh on that one. I look at it that we moved 3 worthless pieces which is another step in re-tooling this team.
