Comparing Z-man to Teemu is like comparing Conor Bedard to Mario Lemieux....Both are not the same.....IF you ask me Ducks Legend Teemu Selanne carved his own path and paved his way to greatness....Z will do the same...EXCEPT he will do it in his own way.

Respectfully, Z-Man is no Berdard not even close, he is a second line center at best. Yes, he can do some tricks. Have you seen him taking the team on his back and roll with it?

The part that he was not ready for the season contract or not tell you where his hart is. that is the reason he is not in the lineup, and the team is suffering. Please do not insult your or my hockey intelligence.

Scoring First 2 Goals would have make a difference....That is my observation from what I see.

Not the way our defense plays, LaComb and Lyubushkin are terrible, send them to the minors. the other issue is that Carlsson plays only two games a week, he wants to play in the NHL play like one.

(I know the controlling GM is limiting his games because he played only 50 games in Sweden I am just frustrated every year is a déjà vu 13 years and counting)

What’s the harm in letting Z be Z. Was Teemu ever expected to play D? I mean Z got drafted high doing what he does. Why try to change him. It doesn’t appear to be working.

    Hey Ike,

Please don't compare Z to a Teemu. Teemu is a legend and an ambassador for hockey.

First, look at the video when Teemu came to the NHL. He played defense and got into fights.

Secondly, Z needs to prove himself as an NHL team player, stop turning the puck so much, and expect the defense to bail him out. Don't forget he laughed when the coaches told him to play defense.

Third, Z will NEVER be a Teemu or come close to it in his wildest dream.

    Kapish?

With Zellweger, Hinds, Warren and Luneau in the system not to mention Ian Moore, Helleson and Port, the Ducks have plenty of prospects that make Lyubushkin and Vaakanainen expendable.

We need to have our Defense mature in the minors for a couple of years. We did a fantastic job in the past rushing our young core. Lyubushkin and Vaakanainen might get something in return one day.

And how long would you wait by the phone for the Oilers to call back after they hang up on you?

I feel sorry that you have no business negotiation sense or hockey knowledge.

He's the best player in the world. 64G/89A last season, and he's only 26. The price would have to be something like McTavish + Mintyukov + Dostal + our 2024 1st rounder.

    Would you still do it?

I would give Gibson, Zegras, and Vakannainan a 1st and a 3rd for McD.

  7. After the second period of last night's game, I changed the channel because I was so disappointed and frankly upset. I went for a run and turn the channel back on the TV, it was 3 min to go--- and then it happened.

Guys, some of us watched the ducks 30 years ago game one I recognize that we are in a rebuild alcoholic Bob did not help us. Our PP is horrible, Our coach need to wake up fast. We take way too many penalties and lose games.

On the positive side, we are a better team in the standing than the Oilers, and they have McDavid (on IR).

I am not 20 either, so I remember good 1993 roster. Trou Loney, Joe Sacco, Shawn Van Allen, Anatoli Semenov, Gary Valk, Guy Hebert....I would not be surprised if this team would beat current team in the best of 7.

2007 roster: Sean Pronger, Scott Niedermayer, Teemy Selanne, JS Giguerre (at his prime), Beauchemin, Sean O'Donnell, young Getzlaf and Perry....everybody was scared to play against the Ducks.

I am looking at the current roster and I am getting sad  :(

I appreciate your understanding. drinking Bob really derailed the team every season for us the rebuild has been over 13 years.

So Zegras & Drysdale both have contracts that expire in 3 years, and we get to go through this all over again, perhaps with arbitration involved the next time.

It will cost us more in three years, and then you have the defense youngsters who will be waiting to get paid.

We won in 2007, but the date is correct. I envy you so much for that. We're not a playoff team until we get our defense straight. Need 1 more legit winger and one more 1-st pairing defenseman, preferably the Franchise-anchoring type, but hope one of the ducklings grows up to be one. Hope for 90 points this year.

My bad typo, It was in 2007.  I hope we will have a great season ---

  11. The 2023 - 2024 season is upon us. I was there 30 years ago on opening night. I was there on June 6, 2006, when we won the cup.  Do you think that our Duck team is that much better team? We are not a playoff team. Have we improved enough to make the wild card? our team is doing the same thing, expecting different results.

Dostal, is a great protect for those who have been around longer than 20 years, Duck history we rush to bring players up from the minors before they are ready. He will get his chance next season. Give Gibby a chance to play with proper defense in front of him (I know we are not there yet) and trade for value.

And all he's done is traded away talented players and replaced them with bottom of the barrel garbage and expected better results. Heck where's the Drysdale, Zegras, Terry extensions. Not even being talked about. That's how bad he is. Guess if you like last place thats great. Its where the Ducks will be for years.

I beg the deffer, let's be honest here No One is worse than Drinking Bob as a GM. PV traded players who do not want to be here. We lost many games last twp years no one want to sign here next season you will have players who want to be in Anaheim.

None of this made any sense. And what is wrong with finishing last in a very deep draft. So you dont trust the lottery, good for you. The other day you posted you want the Ducks to be able to draft one of Bedard, Fantilli, or Carlsson. Guess what, with a last place finish the guarantee to pick no lower then 3rd and will get one of them. So it's not all bad. With the best odds to land Bedard, Ill take it. And if the Ducks dont win the lottery then I hope one of Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Nashville, or Calgary do as they cant move up to #1.

We came short in 2006 to land Sid the kid. Hopefully with 25.5% chance to land the first overall pick. With Bradard. The Ducks will be able to attract some talent to sign a better coach for years to come.

I can imagine the exit interview with the player that gets traded to the ducks - I regret to ruin your career by putting you to be coached by that Eakins fellow.  So sorry...

Per TSN- Klingburg must be happy to move from a TERRIBLE TEAM ....

This team can't play defense or offense.  They need help everywhere. I don't think McGinn is it.

I could not agree more. What did we pay for DK? This GM is ----

For some of us who were there in 1993 my hart is hurting with no leadership.

LOL on missing Burke.  As if we're going to make a splashy trade this deadline.  He never rebuilt a team, either.

We have been on rebuilt for the past six years, remember, useless GM-Bob?

On another note karma always come back Quick might be traded to LV and on the first round they will meet ... You got it, the Kings.

Uh no. It's a desperation move by Blake. Remember Cal Petersen? The heir apparent to Quick? He's being buried in the AHL right now. So Korpisalo is just backing up the back up or vice versa. Garikov is overrated. He was good a couple seasons ago but he's been in decline. I also like what Blake's doing. He's turning them into the Sharks. It's hilarious that he needs to give up a 1st rounder to get a back up since he gave Petersen a M-NTC and probably can't move him. Good job Blake.

    They play good hokey now.

The sad part is that the DUCKS are such a bad team, no one try to trade for a player from us
