  1. It appears you would need a VPN to use ESPN + in Canada to get around the geolocator. https://techdaily.ca/espn-plus-canada/
  2. Do you get ESPN+ ? $70 subscription. Lots of NHL coverage.
  3. Agreed. Their stinking up the place against an underwhelming opponent could be a positive in the long run. All teams and players have bad games. You can't take any opponent for granted.
  4. I think the players are having serious doubts with the long Olympic quarantines. I believe the end result is they wont participate.
  5. Make an extra effort (keep your emails) if you ever want to cancel the subscription at THE ATHLETIC. Numerous complaints on the Better Business Bureau website. Agree with your assessment on Eakins. Eakins is more suited to coaching in the AHL IMO. Did you get your tickets?
  6. SeatGeek is worth a look. If you can wait closer to game-time, prices drop as people try to get something, rather than nothing for their tickets. The app has a venue arena map and you can surf the prices for the different sections. You do better mid week, and against an opponent that doesn't have a following fan base (Chicago, Detroit, Las Vegas) or teams close by (San Jose, LA). If you sit in the lower bowl, you will have a better view from higher up the section. The first few rows are good view, but only for the area of ice you are closest too. The glass can obscure the view. Personally, I like being higher up in the corners (e.g., 218, 204) Also check your email. There was flash sale sent out by the Ducks for the next day and a half.
  7. I’m not sure that comment applies today, although it was on target (Trout) when the contract was signed. Zegras has elite talent…McDavid has generational talent. The closest thing to McDavid is McKinnon. Extreme skill at full speed.
  8. I remember Trout being underpaid when the team had full control. He certainly made up for it. The business side of things comes into play for sure. Like sending McTavish to Juniors.
  9. I think it was a good decision for the long term.
  10. There were no secrets here. Ownership, people within the organization, and people around the league were well aware of his behavior.
  11. The elephant in the room "might be" GMBM is somehow tied into the Chicago Blackhawks mess.
  12. Whitney feelings are his. He might even be on target with those comments. Murray used to hang out in the defense end zones. He wasn't a people person (from my personal observations). Whitney still sucked.
  13. Whitney was a plug. The guy was absolutely abysmal during his stint in Anaheim.
  14. I would say it's byebye Bob. They wouldn't have placed him on Admin time off unless the charges were credible AND likely to lead to dismissal.
  15. I wouldn’t doubt it if GMBM acquired Fluery from Carolina knowing he would expose him in a prearranged deal with Ron Francis.
  16. No doubt his ED protection has a message. I too doubt he would have been selected, but he's a useful energy player, and offers a degree of protection for younger skill players. He can actually play a shift too without being too much of a liability.
  17. I’m ok with ND getting protected. At least he’s useful.
  18. Looks like Dineen is out in San Diego. Joel Bouchard hired as Gulls HC.
  19. Bob was looking for a barstool to throw.
  20. George Parros has no business being in charge of DPS. If he is truly calling the shots, his decisions are inconsistent at best.
  21. I'm happy with today's game results this far. Hope Florida can keep it rolling. LA Kings announcer Faust on the Florida / Tampa game. I think he does a real good job.
  22. Hayden Fleury was a first round pick (#7). It was a good hockey trade for both clubs.
  23. Hayden Fleury from Carolina. Hakanpaa goes to Carolina with a 6th rounder.
  24. Another thing to consider.....with no fans, the importance of post season gate isn’t an issue, so borderline teams may just stand pat.
