    I think of it like this: did Giguere get better from 2003 to 2007? I wouldn’t say so. What changed? That gnarly defense core. Lights out. Gibson needs better soldiers

    The problem IS. NOT. GIBSON. He has 5 other players in front of him before teams even get that chance to score. It’s not Gibson, it’s the defense. Or, for his case….. a lack of.

    Yeah the team is losing, but…. Do goalie’s score goals? How many players do other teams have to get through to score? He’s not in the front, goalies are the LAST line of defense. We need our defense to step up.

    We’re 1st in the pacific, we have players scoring goals that will be remembered forever, goalies stealing games, and a handful of youngsters that are starting to pay off. So… At what point are we saying….

    It makes me so sick and sad to see this once perennial playoff team in a rebuild, but it had to be done. Being in the playoffs wasn’t good enough. We need to build a winning roster yadda yadda. anyhoo... how high of a draft pick does it look like we’re gonna have? Again, it makes me too sick to check the standings where we are. I guess this is a two parter: what pieces are we missing to get us back into contention? And..... go:
