10 years without playoffs... and this years not looks good again, with Eichel, Hall, Reinhart, Skinner, Ristolainen, Dahlin and and and. can't understand how they can be so bad with that roster! and when you think about the last 8 years they had 3 top 2 picks and 5 other top 8 picks... I would go crazy if I am a Fan of this team... understandable O'Reilly and now Eichel wanted out...

??? they were last and should have McDavid... the right way, no way... exactly what I said, he wants to go in the post season, not with an other losing team. the Power thing is an interesting approach... pick one franchise defender and trade Manson for a forward... and I said also, trade the other veterans away, exept Getzlaf&Rakell, for picks.

I don't like that trade. that could be twice lottery draft picks (this year it will could be easy a top 5 pick) and giving the best kid and a talented goal scorer prospect away for a player who don't like to lose. we don't have the team around Eichel to give him what he wants, you can't go to the playoffs only with Gibson and Eichel.

yes we have a expensive defense and underperformed veterans. you say Henrique is a bad contract, it was maybe a mio too much, but look at other teams, every team has some bad contracts... for example Buffalo: Okposo (6 Mio and M-NTC) and especially Skinner (9 mio till 2027 and NMC) are very bad contracts... Skinner's contract is crazy.

we had a lot of changes last deadline, few days before the season was over. and with keep the team together and sign Grant and Shatt, with hope that 2-3 kids makes a step. why not believe in the team? the talent to make the 4th place is here. and if the effort would be here, we would have that 4th spot now. I don't know what is wrong, but some players doesn't need to give effort 60 minutes. thats a shame on the players! thats unacceptable! imagine if we work with 50% effort every day... and they have a lot more salary then we have... its like they saying: "we reached the NHL, now we can lay back"...

2-3 bad seasons and all want to fire BM... can't understand that. of course, he is not perfect, of course, you can find some mistakes if you want to find some. but he made a lot of good things and as I mentioned earlier, we had twice top 10, 5 in the top 15 since the cup (before 2019). thats normal that the talent is bleeding out. you can't not almost the whole 10-12 years be a contender and then you think you can stay there forever. and he tried a lot (interim Coach, 7-8 trades at deadline, sign Grant+Shatt, sign all veterans to keep the team together, drafted well). Grant was injuried and not play well, Shatt is a disappointment (because talent, baby or covid, we don't know). the two top 10 in the last 2 years looks like good, Zegras can be the best player of the 2019 draft, Drysdale looks good in the AHL statistically (I can't watch the AHL-games). we have to change the (assistent) coaches, not the GM. and yes I know, the GM hire and fire the coaches.

okay I should say top twice 10 picks:D Holland was the only bad pick, Fowler was okay, Lindholm is our best defender. in the 2014 draft Ritchie was a good pick. Theo I would do again at the moment of the deal. 2 of the 3 others were bad moves, Karlsson was bad also in Columbus, his career started in Vegas, you can't imagine that Vegas bring out Theo and Karlsson like that... thats a move he has to do, fire at least the PP coach.

thats why I said we still need some top 6 forwards.... and he doesn't care? he was interim coach to see what is going wrong, he made a lot of trades last deadline (I was really surprised), signed a veteran Defender (who was a good move at the time he made it, but Shatt is a disappointment till now), if that worked out, we would have good top 4 defenders and an elite goaltender. what does should he do more? I heard he tried for Dubois too, but against Laine (I believe he tried Laine too) you don't have a comparable players without giving up Drysdale, Gibson and Zegras.. and at least Gibson has more value then this two.. he drafted well and we have the last 2 seasons twice a first rounder.. it needs time, a rebuild need time! if it goes good, in 3-4 seasons we can fight for the playoffs again. you think 15-20 years on top not has an impact? the Ducks drafted almost never in the top 15 the last years before 2019, how many times? twice in the last 15 years? and one of them was a very weak draft at all (the Ritchie Draft year). I still have faith in him. but he has to fire some assistent coaches and maybe Eakins too and to learn that we need the rebuild.

I know, everbody hoped that the retool is enough. I was always for the total rebuild and I don't see much talent from the kids, there is Comtois, Zegras, Drysdale and then? Terry and Steel who both not can score. Lundestrom looks better after the AHL-Trip. Jones is not a top 6 forward. I don't want to be a playoff team, I want to be a contender team and that means, that you have to pick earlier in the draft (as I said, twice in the last 15 years won a team without a top 5 pick), you need at least one elite player. so better make the rebuild. we still need some top 6 forwards and top 4 defenders for the future if we want go deep in the post season.

all these here who are saying "fire BM" I can't understand. of course, he made some big contracts (too long and too many NTC/NMC) which I not like, but all are reasonable. outside of that what mistakes he made? Kesler and Eaves were unfortunately with their injuries, especially Eaves. he was interim coach to kick the players in the ass (Montour trade). he traded a lot last deadline and try it. effort of the players you can't count on him, if the team gives 60 minutes effort, they would win a lot of games, we watched it on the Vegas games last week and the first period yesterday. but what can you do if the effort of the players aren't enough? you can not give the blame always at the coaches. the players are professional hockey player who all have a lot of salary, so its the minimum to expect that they play for that money and their jobs! the Henrique-waiver is a risky move, but BM tried to wake up the pathetic play of some players. the only veterans who give effort is Rakell and Gibson. I some seasons thought Rakell is lazy, but he is one who plays at a good level, he only doesn't have the goal instinct and shots unfortunately. Gibson is about 3 first rounder value or a elite player... its the real waste if your teammates not giving enough effort. we all don't know what is going wrong with the effort. are the trainings too easy and not build on endurance and stamina? or is a effort killer in the locker room?

Henrique and Silvy were 20 goal scorers when the new contracts are signed. Kesler was strong. all 3 could be play in PK, Fowler is maybe the overrated guy. Terry for 1,45 is okay, not much. if he turns in a goal scorer, you would have him for 3 years cheap. I have more issues with Rowneys and Grant contracts. but if you pay him 1 or 1.5 mio, its not the problem. you need cheap 3-4 liners and not every guy can have 750k... maybe 1-2 mio too much for every of this guy, especially Henrique. but nobody can see in future and everybody of this 4 players were good at the signing of the contract. ok, I would try to not make every player a NTC or NMC and not as long as he did.... as mentioned, I would try it with 1-2 mio less, not so long and not give all veterans a NTC/NMC. but here is the personal thing. you don't know why he did that. we were contender at the contracts of Fowler and Kesler, you want to keep it together. maybe if you don't make this deal, the guy wanted out of Anaheim. its never all nice, every GM made things where the fans did not like, but it could be worse.. the fact that BM made 6-7 moves last season before the deadline to change the team, waive Henrique (risky move but the contract saved him) and was interim coach for 10-15 games it shows, that he wants the best and he is trying every thing. now you can trade Henrique (retain salary) or give Henrique and Shatt to Seattle..

I don't think he is the problem. he made not so many mistakes as some people here wrote. his only problem is, that he have still faith in the team and think they could go to the playoffs. but you can't point the finger on him when the team not makes effort for 60 minutes, he tried to change and made a lot of moves last season at the deadline, what I liked. almost every move he made in the last years were okay at this point he made it. of course the Theodore deal not worked out, but at the point he must make the deal, it was a good deal. he should fire some assistent coaches, who are still there. and he should finally admit to the rebuild, no team can't be a contender for so long time. we had a good and long contender window, but look also at Chicago, Los Angeles, Detroit, all this teams were the best teams for over a decade and look where they now are? Its a normal thing, especially with the Draft system. we are lucky that we had so long time of good time. now its the mission to come back in 3-4 years and not like Buffalo (10 years without playoffs), they have a losing culture and now they will lose after O'Reilly other elite players (Hall, Eichel), if they can't turn it this year.

so much pressure on his shoulders, I don't know if that is good for him at this age... in the next days we will see it, what our path will be. if he delievers what we hope, we will be happy... its Murray's last poker card he plays now. but if it now works out, of course we can still say: Z needs more time and the hope is still there. but if that the case, we should suddently make the total rebuild! maybe then also Murray realizes it..

we have this year 6 mio for Perry... next year 2 mio, so no worry about that...if we got 3-4 mio away, we have next season 8 mio new space for other players.

for me is an important year to see how good is BM. go in full rebuild, the only good move for now. especially before the ED Seattle, trade some veterans away and try to get the best for the future. he made already some good future moves (we had 2 firsts in last two years). trade players like Manson, Shattenkirk, Rakell, Henrique, Silfverberg...maybe keep 2-3 leadership veterans (as Getzlaf).. take some picks for the next 2-3 years (you don't have to take all for the same year). so you can protect all players you want in the ED... and not have to make a deal with Seattle to protect your guys... every Stanley Cup winner in the last 15 years had at least a top 4 overall pick. Detroit were the only one without a top 5 pick who won the Cup (Ducks had 2. B. Ryan and 5. Christov, but both not played 2006-2007)...
