    I saw on the capfriendly ED tool... there he has still (https://www.capfriendly.com/expansion-draft/seattle) why he has still 16 games requirement and you must protect him?! can't catch that.

    without Rakell maybe. play Draisaitl in the same line with McDavid? if yes, he is overrated. if no, I would be okay with Gibson vs Draitsaitl. but before the ED its not a good deal, so you have one offense player more to protect...

    keep Mahura out of the line up, if he plays, if we don't want lose him at ED Seattle... if he makes another 10 games he is available for Seattle...

    it will be a very quiet deadline this year because pandemic (quarantine), Salary Cap and ED Seattle... maybe the quietest ever... I still hope we can at least trade a top 4 Defender and 1-2 protectable Forwards... do not lose a good player at ED. at the moment we will lose Heinen, Shatt or Henrique for nothing...

    yes he has off field issues, but with Zegras he has a good connection... it could be the new Perry+Getzlaf if we drafted him.. now its a rivaly ...

    it make sense if the price is too high or he not wants to resign in Anaheim or like you said the kings ransom... the issue is, that he will go for 99% to a contender and picks are late rounders and this year I heard its not a good draft year...

    trade Rakell makes sense if he wants too much money at next contract. and now he is on fire and the price is higher. its not that easy to make the rebuild. you don't want to go under like Buffalo a couple seasons ago or Detroit last season with +/- 20 points behind the 30th place. then you learn a losing culture and this is never good (look at Buffalo, what a roster and what a result). its not a good way for the kids. Gibson should stay unless he wants to get out or its coming in a fantastic offer for him or Dostal develop to a good NHLer. Silf, Henrique, Manson could go out, BEFORE Seattle ED. so you can keep all your kids. take some 27-30 years old UFA's in the next 2 seasons with the cap space you would have after traded away the big contracts (players like Landeskog, Hamilton 2021, Barzal, Gaudreau or Forsberg in 2022) to not lose every game and go with it. maybe a goaltender in the UFA (Rask, Rinne, Anderson and then you can trade Gibson too). I think with trade away some players and sign some UFA's you can make your team better and the rebuild would no go too long...,

Rakell for Bennett and a middle second? is that enough for Rakell? hope they wanted more then only that for Rakell... we have enough Bennett type 20-30 points players in our roster, even Rowney could do 20 points. but players like Rakell we not so many, maybe one in Comtois... or is Bennett known for defensive work?

    he has no hockey sense and puck controlling isn't his thing. only skating and ONE good move in 3 seasons btw against a very weak goaltender, isn't enough for the NHL. I am also okay with trading him, think he is overrated. Steel maybe not the scorer we hoped after his 130 points in college. but at face off he is already good and maybe he will be the next Vermette...salary not a lot raise, see him in the same range as Ritchie and Lundestrom, maybe a little cheaper then the Ritchie. but I would give him a 1-2 year watch-deal.

    I see Getz in a 3.0-4.0 mio range. maybe a more team friendly contract... Montour for example had 3.387 mio and were on the arbitration (contract cames prior the hearing) and he traded him in the next season away... Nick Ritchie had 1,4-1.6 mio after ELC, I see Steel and Lundestrom in the same range, Jones 2.0 range. Comtois a mio more (2.5-3.0 mio). Heinen will be traded. Hak 1,2 and Mahura 1.0, Hutton no extention.

    me too, I was surprised positivly of him this season, is fun too watch him on the ice and finally he also scores. It would be a shame to trade him.

    Grant, Heinen vs Virtanen, 2nd... why not... it would be a top 45 pick. thats what I said in an other thread. they have a lot of other elite forwards (McKinnon, Landeskog) and prospects like Newhook.. and their D would be great with Gibson...

    no, no, not the Kings! I don't want play 10 years 6 times against Gibson in a rivaly game! no thanks! the best would be in the eastern conference... Pitts not has interesting guys.. maybe to Buffalo Henrique and Gibson for Eichel and first....they like players with bad contracts (Skinner should be the worst contract on the whole league, untradeable. Okposo also not nice contract)

    very happy with Comtois' development. last year I had my doubt, his puckhandling was terrible last season (worse then Terry this year), but he made a real big step in the right direction, now he can score and make good passes.

    trade him before the deadline (for picks) to a contender, so he has his chance to win the cup and sign him in summer as we did it with Grant...
