  1. In a dream world the Ducks: Add Laine Deangelo Rossi Laine - Getzlaf - Terry Milano - Zegras - Silfverberg Heinen - Rossi - Comtois Jones - Rowney - Backes Lindholm - Deangelo Fowler - Gudbranson Djoos - Curran I think that team can score goals. Never gonna happen, but relatively realistic dream world.
  2. Pronman’s ranking are very interesting. 4. Raymond 5. Perfetti 6. Holtz 7. Drysdale 8. Askarov 9. Rossi 10. Sanderson
  3. Unless Byfield, Stutzle or Lafreniere are available, if Rossi is available I’ll be a disappointed if we don’t pick him.
  4. Imo, makes sense for Ottawa in this specific situation. Having 2 top 5 picks, you can draft BPA and a need. And boy does Ottawa need a goalie in the system.
  5. I think TonyD just more offensively gifted but not as good defensively, apparently NYR have soured on him a bit. These are all just whispers, so I don’t know. It’s also Murray so we’ll probably sign Bobby Ryan and then when we miss the playoffs continue to throw the team under the bus.
  6. I feel you could maybe swap Manson and Deangelo relatively 1 for 1. That feels much more likely than Laine, but I’d pay just about anything for Laine. He changes the trajectory of this franchise. Adding Laine, Zegras, Rossi does so much for us. Deangelo is very talented offensively and pairing him with Lindholm could work out really well. Even Fowler maybe.
  7. Laine talks are heating up. Henrique Manson 27th overall pick for Laine. WPG needs a second line center and a RHD. I think that could possibly get it done. Laine need a new contract in a year and that’s when we have tons of cap space available. I will beat this drum lol. Tomy DeAngelo is also reportedly available and I would heavily pursue that as well.
  8. Holtz has a nasty shot so it’s that much more disconcerting watching him shoot from the half boards or blue line on a rush. Hes a huge boom or bust type guy, he’s either going to be a 30-40 goal guy or a depth AHLer. With his effort I think he can definitely make improvements and I won’t scoff at adding him. I just think with Rossi, you’re getting a guy who makes a difference potentially this year and has an insanely good all around game. He also drives to the net despite his size. He’s aggressive and physical and I love that. Perfetti is much more rounded offensively. So, you’ll work on his stride and his smarts will translate most likely.
  9. Hm, I’ve watched a few reports and this is the first one I’ve heard his effort called into question. I still really like the player he is. I really worry about Holtz. I know he played against men, so I’d like to think as he develops he’ll start getting himself into dangerous areas, I think the Ducks really sucks at putting themselves into scoring areas. I’ll still be happy with Holtz or Drysdale. I still want Rossi over them all.
  10. My FWD ranking of who I want the most is: Rossi Perfetti Holtz Raymond
  11. I didn’t mean to sound combative, just discussing. Holtz is a nightmare in the D zone, doesn’t do a good job of making his own dangerous opportunities and doesn’t go to dangerous areas. That’s what makes me nervous. He’s got an insane shot, but what good is it going to do if you’re going to shoot it from the blue line every time? Can that be coached? Of course. ive also never heard the “Perfetti has effort problems” criticism. He’s not the greatest defender, but he’s good at making plays, whether that be with his pass or shot, he’s also great at facilitating entries which I value a lot. He has tons of hockey sense, I just value the skills and the smarts.
  12. I think you’re far too high on Holtz. A lot of flaws you find in Perfetti are worse, ten fold in Holtz and Raymond to me is just unspectacular.
  13. Sanderson is LH correct? Way too log jammed. the more I read on Perfetti, the more I love the kid. He can score, he can shoot, he can protect the puck, he’s smart. Just sounds great.
  14. I think it’s clear that it’s Stutzle if LA picks Byfield and vice versa at 3.
  15. Judging by their recent history Ottawa really likes big players. I wouldn’t be surprised if Rossi slips by then simply because he’s the opposite of what they’ve drafted lately
  16. Hopefully Tracey will pan out, but that epitomizes Murray’s drafting. Don’t take the electric scorer with “character issues” and take a guy off board who’s relatively safe.
  17. I appreciate the effort, it’s really nice to see a Sniper give that much effort, but he still sucks in his own zone and he does not put himself in high scoring areas. His shot is super nice and if you want someone shooting from the blue line on a rush then why not him, but still
  18. My priority list looks like Rossi - Super complete player, does everything at a high level, very wide set of tools he can use in any situation Drysdale - Watching him play he really looks like Fowler on the ice, he skates well, maybe not as explosive as Makar and co, but still smooth, doesn’t have a huge shot, but he’s got a good one, aggressive while not getting caught in bad position too often Perfetti - Very high hockey IQ, not the best skater, but that can be coached, he’s not called Goal Perfetti for nothing he’s got high offensive upside Holtz - Best shot in the draft, but man I hate the way he plays with the puck, he’s a Ducks player if i’ve ever seen one, doesn’t go to high danger areas and shoots constantly from low percentage areas. Drives me nuts, but that can be coached. Raymond - More complete, but I’m not really high on him being very high caliber at it. Who knows, I could be totally wrong, but thats what I personally see.
  19. Personally if Rossi isn’t there at 6 I’d take Drysdale over Holtz or Raymond.
  20. The best D prospect in the draft and he’s RH. He’s gonna be pretty good.
