Unless we trade down we have the opportunity to draft one of Gunler, Bourque, and Perreault. That’s pretty good. Perrault is said to have one of the best shots in the draft.

I hope Zary drops to us. I’d be surprised. Button had him at #12, and most in the top 20.

Lapierre seems like a Caps pick. Could be the steal of the draft if the injuries don’t derail him and he develops.

No. The cost to move up a few spots so far has been a 3rd. I wouldn’t trade 27 and 36 to move up 5 spots for a guy that has injury questions.

It’s interesting the draft is pretty much following the rankings this year. Perfetti is pretty much the only one who fell a lot, but even then he was still in the top 10. There were some speculating this would happen since teams didn’t have the same access to players and thus couldn’t fall in love with someone not necessarily ranked as high.

Winnipeg must be ecstatic to get Perfetti at #10. Could be a huge steal at that spot.

Maybe Ducks will get lucky and Lapierre will fall to #27 due to his injury issues that end up being overblown. Extremely doubtful.

Drysdale it is! Maybe not as sexy as getting a possible point-per-game player, but hopefully he’s going to be our Cale Makar.

I could see Murray passing on Drysdale if he’s really down on his defensive game, or if he really believes in Rossi/Perfetti. I’m still expecting Drysdale.

Sanderson to Ottawa. Not surprised from all my draft reading. Some scouts had him as high as #3, and his defense is said to be better than Drysdale’s.

Meh. The way the draft is you can’t really be upset with anyone at #6 unless Murray goes way off the board, and Sanderson wouldn’t be that.

I’ll say Ottawa goes Perfetti leaving Drysdale for Ducks. Things will get really interesting if Ottawa takes Drysdale. McKenzie thinks Ottawa goes D.

Well that’s lame, I guess picks might really be happening earlier than when they are announced. I wanted the Ducks to take Raymond, but oh well. They’ll get a good player no matter what at #6.
