sometime late April for me...so not sure if I'll be able to get to a game this season.... 😕

Or you can bring a negative covid test. I assume test must be performed within 72 hours of the game you have tickets for.

Can we please see a change in the organisation...something has to be done. The way they played the last game against Avalanche was just....just...sad.

You can't win games in this league if you don't skate. Period.

    😞

Third game in 4 nights, 2nd of b2b, mile high city. Opponent top team in the West. I expected nothing more.

I think its a fair criticism when the discussion strays too far into imaginary scenarios about what players are thinking/feeling, especially in the absence of any facts to back up that speculation. That said, I'm not in favor of stifling discussion or debate either. As you say, its a message board. People can participate or not participate as they see fit. Also, this organization brings this kind of speculation upon itself with how tight-lipped and secretive it is. GMBM has always given us fans only scraps of info to chew on, and now this season the press hasn't even been allowed at training camp or practices. Information voids will always be filled with speculation.

    THIS.

It's one thing to apply a personal feeling to the team. I have no issue with that. But it's the assertive statement as to how the PLAYERS are thinking/feeling that get me. Unless you're sitting in the locker room with them, it's all conjecture with zero evidence.

I also remember it well.  I got on a waiting list for season tickets too.  Was able to get into a few games the opening season.  Saw more games at the GWF than at the Ponda that opening season.  Locked in a set of seats in the nosebleed endzone starting in the shortened 94-95 season.  Worked my way to a better seat over time.   No nets up on the ends back then.  Would have been crazy to sit down low in an endzone without nets.

I would agree that the inaugural team would beat this one in abeat of seven.  In five or six games.  They were a better team just on coaching.

AHHH. The good old days. I partnered with someone for 4 seats year one. Went to 1/4 of the games. We sat in 202 or 203. Next year I was able to get 1/2 the season. After about 4 or 5 years I took over. But I wanted to sit on the other side of the arena, and 4 seats (aisle) became available in 216. So I had 4 seats in 202 and 4 seats in 216. Thankfully one of the original partners bought all the games in 202. Stayed in 216 for a long time, then moved up to the 300 level (aisle seats). We've been in section 314 for about 8 years now. I remember the puck flying back all the time. Thankfully we never got hit, but we saw plenty of people hit/injured.

Vodka Bob has ownership buffaloed.  I wont spend a $ until this once great team fires a horrible GM and a Coaching staff in way over their heads.

Ducks have become the laughing stock of the NHL.  Bob fiddled while Anaheim burned with bad contracts, bad trades and missed opportunities.  Im guessing Mr Samueli didn't handle personnel issues in his successful businesses.  Where the hell is CEO Michael Schulman?   Time to clean house and and hold people accountable.  This is just a sad situation with no confidence in ownership and management.   I will say that the Samueli's have done a lot of good for the community for a very long time, which is appreciated but are the Ducks a business or a hobby?  Clean house or spend your $ on something else.  Im done until there is a legit commitment to change.

One question.  How many times do we have to beat the same dead horse?

Not saying you’re wrong on Heinen or Grant, but why then Lettieri instead of Backes while Rowney is out? Wouldn’t Backes make the most sense in Rowney’s spot?

I think it's a foregone conclusion this year is over as far as the playoffs go (I don't care what BM says). Maybe they want a look at the "kids" (even though Letter is 26). I can't remember who said it last night (maybe Hazy), that Lettieri has the hardest shot on the team. Or the most lethal. Something to that effect. Maybe showcasing certain players for a possible trade. Rearrange the deckchairs if you will. At this point I've kind of checked out. I watch the games rooting for Zegras to score a goal or make a great pass. I feel bad for Gibson.

Serious question for the board: What’s going on with Heinen and Backes being scratched over and over? I thought for sure at least one of them would draw in after the 5-1 embarrassment against the Kings, but we saw the exact same lineup for the 6-0 drubbing by the Sharks. Anyone have any theories here? Any inside info? Both guys are good defenders who also drive offense. It’s gotta be more than just the coach/GM love affair with D-Lo and Grant. Something is going on there. Are the Ducks hiding a Covid issue? Is it a cap thing? Did someone flirt with someone else’s wife? I honestly feel bad for both Backes and Heinen. It’s gotta be tough watching your team get its head kicked in due to an inferior lineup each night. We know how badly Backes wants to play and how hard he worked on his skating in the offseason too.

Grant=Signed to a 3yr deal in the offseason. He must be played come hell or high water. Only thing I can think of.

Heinen=BM determined somehow to pull off a Heinen for Virtanen trade. Keeping him out to prevent injury. Otherwise ?????

I can understand that...yet to me it's slightly different. I do think it's possible for Terry to thrive under a different coaching staff and development system...that's mostly me just being cynical...but I don't remember anyone jumping at the idea of trading Wild Bill. I remember we all liked what we were seeing -- albeit it wasn't like seeing a super star in the making. But we are all pretty much excited to have him. As opposed to Terry which there are many who are not feeling him at all.

Also, not impossible for him to thrive here...but..I mean...we don't exactly have the best track record with developing forwards right now....

Karlsson played with the Ducks for one season (2014-15), played 18G and had 2G/1A for 3 points. I don't remember anyone being super excited about him, or being distraught over trading him. I may be wrong. He was a 2nd round pick (#53 overall) so there might have been some trepidation from fans that he my blossom elsewhere. I look at Terry, and see a kid drafted in the 5th round (#148 overall), who kinda has similar stats to Karlsson after 3 seasons (counting this one also). I don't think he'll be a 40G scorer, but my expectations aren't up there either considering his draft position. I do see flashes of what he may become one day, so I'm not ready to give up on him now. I think under better tutelage (I would be stunned if there aren't coaching changes this off season) he may surprise a lot of people.

a team with great coaching staff and knows how to develop players should be saaallliivvvaaatttiiinnngg over Terry. Imagine what he could be if he could just have better hockey sense/confidence!

Every time I see posts about getting rid of Terry, visions of Wild Bill Karlsson pop into my head.

God I hope so. With the amount of cap space freed up this off-season it's the right time to add guys like RNH. He would be a fantastic signing.

I need to be educated. Seriously. I look at RNH and while a great C, I see a player that's going to want to get paid as this will be his last big contract. He'll want 7 years, and I have to think minimum 8M per year. I actually think he might get 9+ by someone. His playing age would be 28 thru 34 with the new contract. Going after Dubois was one thing (he'll be 23 this year), but I don't get going after RNH. Tell me why I'm wrong.

Edit: IF we were one player away from a serious Cup run, then I get it.

I´m not too familiar with this year´s draft class but I don´t think there´s anybody who will be as good as Eichel. That´s why I have no problem with giving up our first rounder even if it´s 1st overall.

I´m on the fence for giving up next year´s 1st rounder but I sure don´t want to give up Comtois. He´s the only one who´s scoring right now. Too bad because I´d love to entice buffalo but Eichel won´t be much happier here if we give up the future.

Then again if Zegras and Drysdale can make the jump sooner rather than later a core of Gibson, Lindholm, Drysdale, Zegras and Eichel is not too shabby.

I´m for the rebuild but IMO Gibson, Drysdale, Zegras, Lindholm, Comtois and Rakell are untouchable. If it´s for a Eichel type player I´m willing to give up Dostal.

If he still cares and he wants to make a big move I don´t think BM will do anything pre expansion draft. I´m okay with that. But he should definitely make a splash after the draft. We have a lot of salary coming of the books and given that the salary cap probably won´t rise by much I think a lot of teams won´t be willing to make big moves.

I wouldn't let him go just yet. The G position is the last line of defense. Having an elite one is priceless imo, and  Dostal may be that good. If the is worthy, then you'll have a repeat of the Andersen/Gibson situation.

Or maybe we just need a major switch. Bring up the majority of the Gulls team and Dineen and put down to SD the majority of this Ducks team and Eakins.

Or, scratch that. Switch coaching staffs, bring up Drysdale and Zegras and some others. And trade players to make room for them, or send them back.

Or, scratch that. Just switch the coaching staffs and bring up Z and Drysdale.

It's absolutely a missmangement of assets if the Gulls are getting a Stanley Cup winning PP coach....and the Ducks are getting the coaching systems of a fringe AHL coaching staff.

To be fair, the Gulls haven't exactly played the cream of the AHL crop. Yes, the Gulls are 6-0, but their opponents are 1-11-2 with 3 of their wins coming against Bakersfield (0-5). They play at Bakersfield tonight, home against Colorado (0-2-1) on Saturday, THEN play 3 games at Henderson (Vegas AHL team). Henderson is 4-0, with 17GF and 5GA. Those 3 games against Henderson will give us a better idea of how good the Gulls actually are.

  13. I try to be a cup half full person, but last night was pathetic. After 30 minutes we had 4 shots on goal. FOUR. That's abysmal and there's no excuse. I was totally bored watching them. I've been a SSH since day one, and all I was thinking was I'm glad I don't have to drive to the arena to watch this team play. I shook my head watching their 5 on 3 PP. Keep Zegras and Drysdale down with the Gulls. They're playing exciting hockey. They don't need to be exposed to the 💩show this team is right now.

  14. The fanbase would go apoplectic if Gibson was traded NOW. Someone just spitballing junk imo.

Watching Dostal last night, the kid can play G. He may be the real deal, but he's going to have to prove himself with the big club. I can see him as the b/u next year if Miller retires. If he proves himself, then I see the Gibson/Andersen scenario repeating itself with Gibson/Dostal.

Oh, you right, I did not realize that Patrick Laine's contract will expire after this season. Ducks could be in perfect position to make a pitch for him: Getzlaf $8.25 mil, Backes $5.5 mil and Rowney $1.1 mil contracts will expire, and if Ducks will convince Kesler to finally retire, his $6.75 mil would be off the books as well.

The Ducks will have a tons of money under salary cap to pursue someone of P. Laine statue. If we had GM like B. Burke, he would go after him. However, I afraid our current manager will find some no-name replacement for Rowney and that will be it.

Why would Kesler "retire" and forfeit $6.75M?  Would you? He'll remain on LTIR and continue to collect his salary.

Not the same. That Ducks team did not have issues putting pucks in the net. They didn't have the worst powerplay in the league. Those players were willing to go into the dirty areas, i.e. in from of the net. They were not reliant on the dump and chase. The game was significantly different then. Different icing rules, no trapezoid, no two line passing. The fact is several of these prospects have had two or more seasons to develop and they stink. Without Perry on his line serving as a decoy Rakell cannot score .Fowler/Lindholm/Manson have all regressed. Shattenkirk has caused too many turnover goals for what the Ducks paid him.

Murray refuses to use his first draft picks every year to grab a scoring forward. He is constantly digging in the bargain bin during the off season and getting used up ineffective players. Does Sheldon Soray ring a bell? How about Patrick Eaves? (Still don't buy the mystery desease story) He hired Eakin because he knew he could control him unlike Bruce. Murray is wasting Getzlaf's final years/Gibson's prime years by failing to put a competitive team together.

The team sucks and Murray is to blame. He's about three season overdue for walking papers.

Totally unfair. You're better than that Shadowduck. Turns out it wasn't Guillain Barre Syndrome (but he had to go to the Mayo Clinic to see a specialist to find that out), but that still doesn't take away from the tremendous hardship the affliction caused him and his family.

Watch Bob will let Rakell go for freeeee in the expansion draft LOL. Wouldn’t doubt it, he let go a valuable asset last time around 😵

I'm not going to get into NMC's, albatross contracts, etc. All I'm asking is can we let the last E.D go already? Vegas asked for Theodore in exchange for drafting Clayton Stoner. Otherwise, Vegas is taking either Manson or Silf. at the draft. I hate the hindsight 20/20 argument that we should have let Vegas have either player instead of losing Theodore too.

The Ducks have scored an abysmal 5 goals in their last 4 games and their season high is 3 goals. Not going to win many that way. GMBM wants the team to be faster, yet he hays a guy with speed and offensive talent that he resigned to two years at 3.4 mil sitting in the pressbox every game named Sonny Milano, yet Carter Rowney who does nothing for this team is playing every game. The two games Milano played he brought speed and energy. At this point who cares if he isnt fully liable in the defensive end. Nobody seems to be. At least he is someone that may score. Or he'll also drink the magic potion in the water bottles that makes nobody score on this team. It truly is a joke how bad they are.

GMBM biggest problem is he never sees the decline in his players and never knows when to get best value for them. I was calling for Perry to be dealt after the WCF loss to Nashville. Still a productive regular season but nothing in the playoffs. Ducks bring him back and he does nothing for a few seasons and gets bought out. I'm seeing the same with Rakell these days. Once 30 goal scorer never reaching those levels again. Still has some value on a great contract but GMBM is reluctant to make a move. Will get nothing in the end. At least at this rate when that contract ends he would have done nothing to deserve a raise and should get a pay decrease, though Bob will give him 7mil a tear and a full no movement clause.

    He's injured. On LTIR.
