  1. I thought the Devils jersey was bad, but wow. That Trashville jersey might be the worst uniform in the history of sports.
  2. Raymond started with a roar but Zegras has gotten better as the season has gone...I honestly think Zegras could finish 20 points ahead of Raymond. That may be crazy but I think he's already that good.
  3. I know this is not a common opinion here, but I don't think Hampus is going to get money in the same ballpark as these guys in UFA. He just doesn't score at the same rate as the players on this list. He's just not going to score more than 30-35 points in an 82 game season. His career high is 34 points, 6 years ago. In the last 3 seasons the only players on that list that have scored at less than 0.5 points per game are Heiskanen (0.46 per game) and Trouba (0.47 per game). And Heiskanen was given that deal based on what they think his future production will be - he's only 22 so they anticipated his scoring would increase. With Hampus he's already developed, he's not going to get any better. Over the last 3 seasons Lindholm has scored at 0.38 points per game. So the closest player is Trouba, and he's paid at $8M per year. That would be the absolute maximum for Hampus IMO, and would be a bit of an overpay.
  4. No doubt. Which basically cost us that series as Gibby was average in the first 2 games. Andersen was the guy at that point.
  5. The GM from when the team "shafted" Zegras is also no longer here. Just blame it on him. I don't think it will be an issue.
  6. Kane cleared waivers, sent to the AHL. Sharks are trying to trade him.
  7. I think $7.5M per season is probably about right for Hampus. If he wants over $8M the Ducks probably let him walk.
  8. My girlfriend's boss was fired for a pattern of bullying behavior over the course of many years. Basically she would just pick people she didn't like and make fun of them, blow her lid when they asked for time off, things like that. Essentially creating a hostile work environment, making people's lives hell. Eventually enough people complained that HR did a full investigation and finally got rid of her. So it could be something like that as opposed to one or two big incidents.
  9. He left Chicago at the end of 1999 and Aldrich was hired in 2008. So I doubt there is a connection there.
  10. Ryan Whitney also goes out of his way to defend Dave Portnoy, who is a known POS. There are too many a-holes in this world.
  11. "Allegations of aberration" wow thanks for getting specific.
  12. Well I mean, we know he threw a chair at somebody once, right? So we know he's got a temper at least, so could have physically assaulted somebody. But you're right, it could be something along the lines of embezzlement. Probably not a good idea to speculate though. Edit: Says the guy that just speculated about different fireable offenses...
  13. Awesome. I was interested to know as I too have my law degree, though I am not a practicing lawyer (decided to get into a field that required less stress and time commitment, haha).
  14. Agreed, based on the Ducks statement ("upon recommendation of their initial findings"), I can't see him getting his job back. It seems like they already know whatever happened was grounds for dismissal, they are just waiting for the final report. I guess now we also know for sure that Solomon was likely brought in to take over from Murray at the end of this season, since he is now the one in charge.
  15. Ironic considering Whitney is one of the biggest pricks on the planet.
  16. We might be kinda lucky this deal didn't go through in the summer. I absolutely would have moved Terry in the summer but I would be more hesitant to do so now, as it seems like he has finally turned that corner.
  17. I don't listen on a regular basis, but on Spittin' Chicklets they were talking about how for the black aces the playoffs are basically just 2 months of partying. The black aces tend to stick together outside of the rink, and the roster players stick together. So when Beach says none of his teammates wanted to have dinner with him, he is likely just talking about the black aces - and it is entirely possible they were all just too hungover and wanted a night in. Lol. So I don't know if we can read anything into the fact that he couldn't find anyone to go to dinner with that night.
  18. "Breaking news" https://www.nhl.com/news/marian-gaborik-retires-from-nhl-played-17-seasons/c-327569234 I thought this guy retired like 5 years ago.
  19. They could go the Arizona route and add bad contracts along with first round draft picks. Though I'm not sure how many teams would be looking to do this during the season. The Stars could be in cap trouble if Bishop ever becomes healthy. They could ship him to Buffalo with a pick just go get rid of him. I would say the Sabres should trade for Skinner's terrible contract but uh...
  20. There is going to be a chance to pry some players out of Vegas prior to the trade deadline. With everyone healthy they are more than $7M over the cap, and all of their players on LTIR, including Eichel, are expected to be back by March. They certainly aren't operating from a position of strength. I hope the other GMs bend them over. Maybe we can bring back Karlsson or Theodore. Lol
  21. I take any of these lists with a grain of salt, they are always so subjective and tend to pander to bigger and eastern markets. Marner and Pettersson in the top 20 seems kind ridiculous when both have started the season so poorly. Also, McAvoy in the top 25 players in the league? LMAO.
  22. I think one of the reasons he wants out is that he doesn't trust the medical staff there. The team playing well doesn't really change that. There's zero chance he plays another game for that franchise.
  23. This is what I'm most pleased about too. The effort has been there, and for the most part the team has (or tried to) outwork the opposition. There have been a flew blips (e.g. the first period against Vegas) but overall I'm very happy with their fight. They've been right in every game because of this, even against teams that have a clearly better roster.
