I'd love to get Eichel but buffalo would be dumb not to ask for Zegras or Drysdale. Don't know whether buffalo would bite on Gibson. He's still fairly young but buffalo ain't competing the coming years. I'd have to problem giving up our 1st this year. I'd be down with giving up our 1st next year since getting Eichel would solve our center problem. We'd have to include Henrique for salary purposes so pretty much dts' package. Sadly enough I think there are quite a few teams (kings and rangers to name a few) who have the pieces to beat that offer.

Give it a rest already. You start to make less sense with eacht post and you dind't start off with a lot of sense to begin with. Getzlaf has won The Cup. He's been nominated (at least twice I think) for the Mark Messier Leadership Award. Yes I want him to mentor the younglings. Were you following The Ducks when Ryan Getzlaf blocked a puck with his face in the Playoffs against Dallas? I think he scored something like 15 points afterwards. That's not losing culture. That's a tough as nails hockey player who has given his all for this franchise. Did Getzlaf beat you out as a kid on some peewee hockeyteam or something because it seems personal.

No so stop speculating about it. I wouldn't trade Getzlaf for a 3rd or a 2nd. He is our captain, the face of the franchise and still a darn good hockey player. And you want to trade him for spare parts? Way to attract potential FA's. Hey, come to Anaheim but after you've given us everything you'll be moved for scraps. I understand it's a business and when the right deal comes along you should make a move. Hence why Getzlaf even considered waiving. But when the deal being offered is a mid round pick (if that were indeed the offer) in an even bigger crapshoot draft than ever, you decline.

I'm sorry but there's a lot of nonsense in this post. If you want to trade Getzlaf for a 7th I'm glad BM is our GM. That is absolute and utter bs. Sure Getzlaf isn't as good as McDavid in his prime but nobody is. His numbers are down but everybody's numbers are down. Getzlaf has had injuries but that's a Ducks problem. Who on this team hasn't had an injury? I don't know what we're doing wrong but it's insane. We have to start the rebuild I'll give you that but Getzlaf should be part of that as long as he wants. Somebody has to mentor these kids. No disrespect to Sam Steel (who is still young and has room and time to improve) but do you want Zegras to learn from him or from Ryan Getzlaf, Stanley Cup winner and Hart Trophy runner-up.

I think (and hope) Getzy is going to take the Teemu route. A short extension (1, maybe 2 years) with a hometown discount. If he still wants it afterwards I can see him stay a little longer.

I'm not saying he deserves one but I think he'll get one just because his ELC is up. But you're right. Steel hasn't shown a whole lot.

I´m still on the fire Murray (and Eakins) train but I do kinda get him on this one. Next summer after the ED is the time to make moves. Preferably quite a few and big ones. Perry´s buy out is only 2 mil. Rowney is a UFA. We LTIR Kesler. Hopefully we retain Getzlaf with a hometown discount. We lose some salary to Seattle. Raises for Lundestrom, Jones, Steel and Comtois but nothing crazy. Heinen (if he´s still around) shouldn´t get more. We´ll have roster spots and capspace. Some teams won´t. Stike first, strike hard, no mercy.

Didn't look into our cap situation. Figured with Kesler, Rowney & Lindholm on LTIR we'd be fine. And as Ike posted now may be the time to move Manson. Ekblad out and ekholm possibly out with the predators back in the race.

The flyers have placed gostisbehere on waivers. I think BM should be all over this. If it doesn´t work out he can be exposed.

A whopping 4 wins in our last 20 games. A normal GM (whom should be fired) would fire his coach but not BM. He's still convinced Eakins is doing a great job. I bet he can almost smell The Cup. We're a joke. And not a good one.

Additional problem. It's very probable players don't want to be here or stay here. Imagine Gibson saying he wants out. That'll work wonders for his trade value should it come to that. Fun times for Zegras. Kid wants to play in the NHL and finds out the AHL team is better. If Samueli is down with it we have money to spend but who would want to come? It's not that we've been trending upward after that san jose whooping in the Playoffs 2 (or is it 3?) years ago. So I'll say it again, fire Murray and Eakins. Hire a new GM (don't care who) and start making moves or maybe wait till after the ed (as not to lose anybody valuable). There's going to be possibilities, there is money if the owners say so. Turn this thing around and we'll be a Playoff team in 2-3 years.

Now it´s not just Rakell´s but also Terry´s name that´s popping up in the rumor mill. Meanwhile Murray and Eakins are still here. Every morning I wake up I´m afraid I´ll see Rakell got traded. And then I´m afraid to see what for. If BM trades him it´ll probably be for a third liner and we´ll probably retain 50%. Why don´t you take a hike BM?

It´s time our team sacks its GM. Rakell has to stay. It would be so BM to trade him for someone like Bennett and a 3rd rounder. I´m gonna lose it if Rakell gets moved.

Rakell is our best forward at the moment. He should be part of the rebuild. If BM trades him I hope it'll be the last thing he does.

No way Steel should get 3 mil. The thought of moving Gibson makes me want to cry. If we move him it should be for a star player. If buffalo were interested I'd consider Gibson to be included in a package for Eichel. That's about it.

Whatever it is that gets blown up, I hope it's not Rakell. Dude is showing he can/should be part of the rebuild.

I'm not ready to give up on Manson. If we can't protect him I hope BM moves him for at least something.

In 6 weeks our season is over.

So much this. IMO Rakell is untouchable. He's on a great contract and I really think his scoring will go up. Maybe not to 30+ goals but still. And while less important he's also a joy to watch.

7 losses in a row. I don't care whether we made it to OT or SO. It's not a win. How Eakins still has a job is beyond me. Then again RC was here for way too long.

I´m not too familiar with this year´s draft class but I don´t think there´s anybody who will be as good as Eichel. That´s why I have no problem with giving up our first rounder even if it´s 1st overall. I´m on the fence for giving up next year´s 1st rounder but I sure don´t want to give up Comtois. He´s the only one who´s scoring right now. Too bad because I´d love to entice buffalo but Eichel won´t be much happier here if we give up the future. Then again if Zegras and Drysdale can make the jump sooner rather than later a core of Gibson, Lindholm, Drysdale, Zegras and Eichel is not too shabby. I´m for the rebuild but IMO Gibson, Drysdale, Zegras, Lindholm, Comtois and Rakell are untouchable. If it´s for a Eichel type player I´m willing to give up Dostal. If he still cares and he wants to make a big move I don´t think BM will do anything pre expansion draft. I´m okay with that. But he should definitely make a splash after the draft. We have a lot of salary coming of the books and given that the salary cap probably won´t rise by much I think a lot of teams won´t be willing to make big moves.

Maybe we can get this article over to BM.

Or they're tired of playing for a coach and GM who both suck.

Well if you're looking for an easy job with job security try becoming GM or head coach of The Ducks. Getting results apparently doesn't matter so you can cruise to a fat paycheck.
