Exactly. It's a no brainer we are bad. I was hoping to at least see a 2nd for Klingberg and instead of warm bodies like Sustr or McGinn I was hoping to see some of the younger guys to see if we have anything.

Who would have thought the complaint with Bruce was the Ducks couldn't win a game 7 in the playoffs at home. Now we just hope we can win a game period, or not get blown out 7-1. A home Game 7 playoff game is so far off in the distance for this team. How I wish we were still having those issues.

Tomorrow expect Pat Verbeek to announce the two year contract extension with an AVV Cap hit of $3mil per season for Andrej Sustr. 6'6 defenseman fits exactly what he wants. Will also be named the new captain of the Ducks.

I find it very hard to believe that Verbeek couldn't negotiate that 4th into a 2nd with conditions attached. Klingberg on a team with an actual defensive system and a defensive defenseman as his partner could be a steal, but nope, just a 4th, unsigned prospect, and Sustr. Probably got sold that Sustr was some defensive stud that was going to improve the team immediately.

He could, that would be the perfect time for Verbeek to start piling up the 2026 4th round picks. Then at next year's deadline he can work on 2027 5th rd picks.

Ducks are done. There is nothing else coming down the wire.

I wouldn't mind Dineen either. We say this and just watch, come April 30 Verbeek is going to announce a 4 year extension with Dallas Eakins.

Honestly with how the team could use some offense, and how Gibson played so much better with him as a coach, I wouldn't be against Bruce coming back. Someone that likes to have fun as a coach. Maybe will help with Zegras and his poor attitude this year.

Verbeek couldn't even get a 3rd round pick for this year's draft in any trades. Last year only managed a few 2nds for this year, now this year a couple 3rds for next year.

Same thing could happen, however he is also a forward, not much depth in those positions and more of them.

Don't be so hard on Verbeek, after all, he is full of potential. This was just a learning season for him.

Where's Moose in all of this? Did the Ducks acquire the players that he was expecting them to in order to turn their fortunes around? I'll answer for him, they couldn't even get the draft picks that some were expecting them to.

I'd honestly clean house from top to bottom after the season and how awful acquisitions and lack of any fixes has been. GM fired, coaching staff fired. Let's start new with a competent GM and a coaching staff of their choice. Or if this is acceptable to the Samueli's, then sell the team to someone who cares.

Just saw a post on Twitter that said back in the day Bob Murray basically got better value for Derek Grant then Verbeek did for Klingberg. Let that sink in.

Verbeek has done nothing with his trades so far while GM of the Ducks. Completely sold low on Klingberg, should have got more then he did for Lindholm and Rakell, Manson is possibly ok. Not even able to add an additional 2nd round pick this year should be determined to be a big failure. But what should we expect, everything with this team has been nothing but a let down. I honestly think Verbeek is in way over his head. Hated the hiring when it was made and hate it even more today. I could only imagine what he would get in a return for Gibson, 5th round pick and some C level prospect with 50% retention on Gibson. Verbeek is doing his job like the players, sinking the ship. I bet the Ducks will win the draft lottery, then Verbeek will trade the 1st overall pick for a late 1st, 2nd, and someone like Alex Kerfoot, that's how bad his GMing is looking so far.

LOL, what a horrible return for Klingberg. Verbeek is doing a great job. Andrej Sustr, again, Nesterenko (unsigned prospect) and a 4th round pick. I honestly can't believe Kulikov got us more.

Maybe Verbeek saw the Washington game and figured the team sucks more with Klingberg on the ice so is not going to trade him.

Is McGinn in the middle of a learning season as well? Maybe he is full of potential at 29 years old too.

Why would they need to call anyone up? Only need to dress 6 defensemen for a game. If there are 8 on the roster and 2 get traded, then you know which 6 will be playing. If they trade 3, then there is an issue and a call up is needed.
