  1. I like how Bettman holds up the sheets for the combinaion charts to everyone and it just looks like blank paper.
  2. I'd like to know how they decide 4-5-9-13 is the combo. Was it smallest numbers first? Did they say that in the rules as they were drawn 9-13-4-5. That combination should be the actual winner unless it is smallest to largest numbers.
  3. Chicago was dead last until the won their last two games of the season. Same with Columbus. Meaningless wins moved them up.
  4. I'd laugh if the Hawks take Michkov 1OA, or a better chance of them going we need a big number one center and draft Fantilli first and let Bedard fall to two. Maybe the size is too small for their liking l.
  5. If they wanted to be worse the Ducks would have ended up at 3. I'm happy with being able to get Fantilli.
  6. Please explain how. Tanking or sucking got the Ducks Fantilli and at no worse 3. Ducks could have won 4 or 5 meaningless games at the end of the season when they were well out of contention and ended up picking 11th. Fantilli is a number 1 pick in any other draft and is the closest player to having the same skills as Bedard. Ducks did great to get him. Consider it a win. End up at 11th and picking some guy who becomes an ok 2nd line player doesnt do much for the franchise.
  7. Shouldnt be hard for Fantilli to do better then Bedard in games. Look at who they get to playoff. Who does Chicago have that's any good? Goalie? No. Forwards? No. I guess Seth Jones. There is no Taves, Kane, Debrincat for him to play with. Last time Hawks had a top three pick they traded him in two years. Cant wait for Bedard to pull a Lindros on this team or leave as soon as he can. Classless organization didnt deserve a pick at all. Welcome to Anaheim Adam Fantillit.
  8. Want to talk about rigged. If the reported rumour that is out there is true, Hawks get 1, Arizona gets 2. Hawks should have lost picks for what they did in the past not gain the next superstar in this league. Maybe Bedard will pull a Lindros on them.
  9. Carlyle (2), Beaudreau, Eakins, Babcock, Wilson, GMBM, Hartsburg, Page, Bryan Murray, cant remember the other one.
  10. Agree. The guy is already better then 60% of the forwards the Ducks iced this year so why waste him in the AHL or 3rd or 4th line. Let him play where he'll shine.
  11. Him and Kane both knew about it and did nothing, which is part of the reason why the Hawks organization is walking away from those two. They are trying to distance themselves from anyone that played a part of it. Trading Kane and letting Toews walk is the easiest way to do it. Toews would have been traded too if healthy. Because if you're thinking he would be a great mentor for young players, wouldnt the Hawks want that too.
  12. Only problem with Toews is age, countless injuries the last few years, and the history of him being involved with the cover up in Chicago. Best option for him would be to retire. I wouldnt sign him. Toews age doesnt really fit in with the geoup the Ducks are building. He is kiekly going to Winnipeg (back home).
  13. You have to remember Fantilli and Carlsson would easily be 1st overall picks in any draft that didnt include Connor Bedard. Saying any of these guys need to be sheltered on the 4th line, especially Bedard or Fantilli is like saying Sidney Crosby or Connor McDavid should have played on the 4th line when they came into the NHL.
  14. Fantilli is 18 years old and not eligible to play in the AHL until he is 20 so he would not be spending anytime there next year. Sheltering Fabtilli on the 3rd or 4th line and getting no minutes is a joke. That's like Seattle with Shane Wright this year. Guy never got to play and they ended up burning a year of his contract for nothing. If Fantilli is on the team again he will be sloted on the 2nd line. Bedard on 1st. Strome is not a top 6 player and proved it this year so not sure why everyone has him so high in the lineup. Didnt we learn this year that playing guys above where they should play proved costly? Also not sure why everyone has a roster spot for Domi. I highly doubt he will be playing here and dont want him anywhere near the team.
  15. If the Ducks get Bedard or Fantilli they will not be playing on the third line. They will be in the top 6. That top line will more likely be Zegras-Bedard-Terry. Strome would move to a 3rd line center roll, where he should be
  16. Per TSN, Dallas Eakins not getting his contract renewed. Offseason just started and it's already looking good.
  17. None of this made any sense. And what is wrong with finishing last in a very deep draft. So you dont trust the lottery, good for you. The other day you posted you want the Ducks to be able to draft one of Bedard, Fantilli, or Carlsson. Guess what, with a last place finish the guarantee to pick no lower then 3rd and will get one of them. So it's not all bad. With the best odds to land Bedard, Ill take it. And if the Ducks dont win the lottery then I hope one of Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Nashville, or Calgary do as they cant move up to #1.
  18. Jackets win. Ducks can get at least one point only.
  19. Lol. Quite frankly your posts have me second guessing your understanding of hockey. Now I know you've probably only followed the game at the earliest since 1993. Here is the waivers rule. "Waivers is a transaction process required to move a player who has met certain playing or experience requirements to be sent from the NHL level to the minor league level. When players are put on waivers any other NHL team may put in a claim for the player and claim them for their own roster. If the claiming team wants to send the player to their AHL affiliate, then the player must pass through waivers again." Beaulieu, Benoit, Carrick, Harrington, Megna, and Leason are all waiver eligible players. For the Ducks to assign them to the AHL they all must pass through waivers. They cant just freely be on the Gulls. Sorry to burst your bubble yet again.
  20. Agree. Those guys SHOULD be in the AHL but they never were this year, so cant really say they are Gulls players kicking ass with the Ducks, as White, Benoit, Beaulieu, Leason, and Megna are far from kicking any ass. Also, if these players were destined for the Gulls, Leason and Megna would never be here. As they were waiver claims they are forced onto the NHL roster.
  21. What players were on the Ducks that would have been on the Gulls this year? Literally the only call ups have been Dostal, Helleson, and Groux for the last game. Gawdin didnt do much in his time and nobody else got a shot.
  22. Wait a minute. You want the Ducks to pick one of those 3 players. Those are your picks. Yet you want them to win a meaningless game against the Kings and move to picking no better then 4th where they won't get any of those 3. Where if they lose to the Kings and Columbus gets a point the Ducks are guaranteed one of them. Now I'm confused.
  23. No way. Ducks can very easily be in last place by this game. One more loss and they have the best chance at winning the lottery and drafting the next McDavid. I would rsther lose this game and get a franchise changing player then get a meaningless win or point. Players have all off season to get over the losing.
  24. B+ is not a bad grade, and in fact would be around where I would rate the Lindholm trade. However, with an asset like Hampus Lindholm I would have expected an A+ or A return and would consider anything less a lost trade. Especially looking back now, traded Lindholm who is having a Norris nomination season for a late 1st last year, late 2nd this year, late third, always injured Vaakaininen who has shown that he is as good as Jacob Larsson, and a salary dump contract. None of that screams that Verbeek won the trade, hence the B+. Mason Lohrei or Fabian Lysell would have been a better get then Vaakaininen and would have made the trade more even.
