Definitely father time has caught up to Perry. It seems like all the injuries and punishment he took going to the dirty areas expedited his decline. But even Getzlaf is not nearly as dominate on the ice as he once was. Over the last couple of seasons I've seen younger guys push him off the puck. That never used to happen. sadly time waits for no man.

Hey Everyone, I have not been able to watch any of the games live, I've only seen highlights on Youtube. But it seems to me (based on the highlights) that almost nobody on any team is bothering with defense.. It all seems to be hail Mary passes and run n gun offense. More so than I can ever remember. Am I the only one who sees it that way? I can't imagine the current Ducks team doing well against this type of play.

Maybe he is considering retirement after next season and heading back to Regina. If next season doesn't start until December, by the time that season ends he'll be 36 years old. Maybe he's planning on taking a page from Scott Neidemeyer and skipping his last year. After watching the chaos in this country between Covid and the riots I could see him wanting to get out of dodge.

Thing is.. Ducks need forwards who can score goals at this point.

I was never a Gibson "hater" but I always thought Freddie Andersen was the better pick. My biggest concern with Gibson was his durability. In his first couple of seasons he seemed to have issues moving post to post. Several teams picked up on that issue and repeatedly exploited it.He also was weak on breakaways and I rarely saw him steal a game. Over the last two seasons I've had nothing but respect for his performance. He's done more than his share to try and keep the team in games.He has had neither defensive nor offensive support from the team in front of him.

Once this thing gets into the homeless population it is going to get really ugly. Those people already have compromised immune systems due to living outside, addiction issues etc. And they are the last people that want to be told what to do so they will run from authorities even if they are trying to help.The most vulnerable are the elderly. I think it was more likely that nobody wanted to pay the asking price for Quick. I have not really followed the Kings this year but from what I have heard in commentary regarding this trade the Kings have another prospect waiting in the wings they think will be better than Cambell and they needed to make room one way or another. As far as Clifford goes, my fondest memory of him is when Sheldon Brookbank rang his bell. I can still see the slow motion replay in my mind's eye.

Cogs got shafted in that whole ordeal.About a month earlier when cogs signed an extension with the Ducks it was mentioned in the press release that if he remained healthy he would exceed the current iron man record during that contract. I believe there were powers that be in Toronto that didn't like the idea of a "Mighty Duck" holding that record and when they saw the slightest chance to suspend him and break his streak they did.

As long as he doesn't get injured I think he can do it. But I think it will take another six or seven seasons. Even then it's going to take a concerted effort by players around him to feed him the puck. And as he gets closer I think other teams will naturally key on him to keep him from scoring. He succeeds now because that one timer he has is so fast,strong and accurate. At 33 he is in his prime. Over the next several years his reaction time is going to suffer. Unlike Selanne or Gretzky, he does not have very adept hands.You don't see him scoring many goals via his agility. But I do believe he can break the record at this point. Lets check back in two years and see where he is then. 😎
