  1. It would be really cool if the Ducks could get one of these high profile trades done. It feels like the last time the Ducks landed a big one was Kesler.
  2. Hopefully he’s a 7th Dman and nothing more, he’s better than Benoit and Beaulieu, so there’s that I guess.
  3. What are you talking about? he’s pointing out that Gibson’s agent didn’t refute that Gibson said it at all, just that it wasn’t said to a member of the Anaheim Duck’s front office and that it didn’t refute that Gibson requested a trade. Legal statements are often hyper specific and what isn’t said, is often just as interesting as what is. If it was said to Fowler or Shatt, it was serious enough to make it to Seravalli,
  4. Eric Stephens has it on the athletic updates. 1 year 775k
  5. I usually find it very interesting when these legal speak letters get put out and what they don’t say.
  6. lol the girls are fighting
  7. I kind of feel like everyone is getting up and arms about the “never playing another game” which is just drama, I’m more interested in him requesting a trade than what Seravalli said
  8. Not disputing that he requested a trade though.
  9. It was just the name Gorb mentioned, its more a stand in for B+/A prospect
  10. I’m not nuts about him going to LA, but at this point they should be sending anywhere that will have him
  11. Looks like they just signed Robert Hagg, so this season’s Beaulieu, a 7/8 guy who ends up being top 4 for 50 games because of an injury, but I do like your lines. I think it’ll be better than last year and gives some time for the young guys to make it or break it.
  12. LA is not serious if they roll into the season with Talbot and Copley. Philly could facilitate or third party a trade.
  13. Toronto Buffalo maybe Philly, Edmonton, New Jersey, Montreal St. Louis and Los Angeles these are the teams where’s there’s any fit at all
  14. I’ll gladly do something like that. My contention isn’t that I wouldn’t do it for sure. I just don’t know what Gibson’s value is as a trade asset.
  15. Sure, I think retaining some on Gibby and taking Murray gets you some value, idk if it gets you Nylander though.
  16. I will gladly click my heels if I’m wrong, but a goalie who hasn’t posted a good season in over 3 years and is signed for 6.4 million, making him the third highest paid goaltender for another 4 years in a flat cap era doesn’t scream value to me. Again I will gladly dance if I’m wrong, but I have my reservations and at this point getting out from his contract is value in itself
  17. I don’t think Gibson has much value right now, at least in the trade market. I would argue he’s very similar to Murray when Toronto acquired him. I just think we need to pull back our expectations here.
  18. https://youtube.com/@DerekLee27 Derek Lee has a YouTube channel and he’s posting some clips from today.
  19. He’s got speed, it’s his first couple of steps, he lacks that immediately explosiveness by the reports I read, but that when he gets going he’s quick and hard to stop.
  20. I honestly don’t know where Gibby goes. Toronto makes a little sense. Take on Murray’s cap and retain some on Gibby maybe that gets you Nick Robertson +, but it doesn’t get you Nylander, it’s being reported that Nylander is also asking for double digits on his next contract, which while he’s probably worth that, I don’t know if I’m about that.
