    There’s also just as many reason to prefer Carlsson over Fantilli. Just to be clear, again coming from someone who preferred Fantilli.

    I mean he’s been better than Fantilli any time they’ve played in the same tournament. I also wanted Fantilli, but Carlsson isn’t chopped liver. I think he can do it

    I get that you guys are bummed, but Carlsson is legit. He’s also out performed Fantilli every time they’ve played in the same tournament. He’s been dominating the SHL playing against men. He’s gonna add a very stabilizing presence to the team. I think this is going to be fine.

    5x5 for Barbashev is pretty crazy. Trading smith for a 3rd round pick to sign that contract is pretty crazy. This market is so weird.

    There was an athletic article discussing budget alternatives to bigger free agent names. The article suggested Pius Suter. Compher is better than Suter, but Suter has a little more 5on5 points over the past 3 years. He’s projected to get 3.5 million dollars less per year and 2 years less term. I like Compher, but given how shallow FA this year im a bit worried about giving him too much.
