There’s really not much options in FA. Kakko made a lot of sense as a target, he’s an RFA this season I think, maybe a sub par Rangers run loosens their purse strings.
I could be convinced of a 2 year deal for Marchessault, but I’m very cautious. Even more so of Reinhart

Jonathan Marchessault YOU are an Anaheim Duck

Verbeek said the specific need to address this summer is to improve the bottom-6 and get more production from it. Dude, you aren’t getting top-6 production!
better have an RHD on the shopping list also
Plenty of teams get bottom six production. The bottom six is the most glaring problem and has been for a year or two. You have your top end guys that you’re building around. I agree they need to be looking for a good RHD for sure, but they absolutely need to improve their bottom six

I’m listening to the verbeek interview and he said it was for depth in San Diego, don’t know why given the veteran LHD there. They aren’t making the playoffs.
took mysak with the hope of being a 3rd liner but possible 4th liner. Same tired line of “he competes”
But he’d have to go through waivers again and at that point I imagine Toronto would just claim him

Zellweger up with the Duck for the rest of the season
I genuinely wonder what the thought process of grabbing Laggesson

this kind of feels like confirmation there’s nothing else?

The Perreault trade was the surprise and I’m not sure why laggesson was picked up if we aren’t moving an LHD.
Rico, Carrick, Boosh trades were successful. So, overall I say it was a success…unless perreault becomes legit
I really don’t get the Laggesson claim at all, unless we sneak some deal through. Dangle said he played right side, but still 8 Dmen on the roster and 6 of them are lefties
-
Nothing crazy for us to dissect this year. Based on what other forwards got it’s impressive Verbeek got a 1st for Rico and why no one was paying the cost for Vatrano. I wonder if we get looks at Mysak or Laggesson soon

I’m so jealous of Vegas man, talk about not being gun shy

Ducks claimed William Lagesson off of waivers from Toronto, not quite sure I understand why? Ducks have a log jam of lefty’s right now

Would never happen, but could you imagine Trouba and Gudas on the same team lol, lmao even

Nvm I guess Meyers is reporting to Anaheim

Meyers does seem like a solid add for the Gulls, little under a PPG player in the AHL

Vancouver could also be a spot for Frank, they haven’t really added much, so if they’re all in, they could be hunting for some consolation prizes
-
Every reliable insider has said that Verbeek is not shopping Zegras, but isn’t hanging the phone up, you listen and if someone offers something stupid, maybe. There’s a difference between that and being shopped

another top end forward off the market.

Eberle re-signed, teams like the rangers are running out of options

I think it's more ooh and awe because he's 6' 8". He can skate decently but the rest of his game?
The same thing got Slafkovsky drafted 1st overall. So it happens

Sounds like Rangers were in on Guentzel, but the word is he’s headed to Carolina. Wonder if that opens the door for them to circle around on Vatrano, they’ve done jack all this deadline

I hope not because we should be 3 or 4 before the lottery draws. Silayev is more of an 8-10 pick.
He was rising fast. I think the 3-8 or so range is relatively open this draft
Migration Beek Talk
in Anaheim Ducks

Laine honestly makes a lot of sense.
buy low, fits the age range
Ducks can afford to take the deal without retention as well. Consider me on board
